A small number of customers have reported receiving fraudulent emails from individuals impersonating Tebra employees. These messages falsely claim that Tebra lost accounting information during a recent database upgrade and request updated payment details.
Please know this is not true — there have been no changes to our accounting systems, and your payment process remains the same. Continue submitting payments only through the secure Tebra platform.
Details about the fraudulent emails
These phishing emails use the Tebra name and logo and claim that we’ve changed banks and need you to confirm or update your payment information. They may appear to come from email addresses like @kareo-tebra.com or @tebra-kareo.com. These are not legitimate Tebra domains.
Tebra emails will only come from:
- @tebra.com
- @mail.tebra.com
If an email comes from any other domain, do not trust it.
What to do
If you receive an email from an unfamiliar sender — especially from @kareo-tebra.com or @tebra-kareo.com — do the following:
- Do not reply.
- Mark the email as spam or phishing.
- Delete it immediately.
- If you’re unsure, contact your Account Representative or call us directly at (866) 938-3272.

Your payment information is safe
Tebra will only collect payment via automatic charge to your ACH or credit card on file — always within the secure Tebra platform. If you need to update your payment method, you can do so directly in the platform — we will never request this information by email.
