James Hawkins, DO, is a vein specialist certified by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, with over 30 years of experience. At Fox Valley Vein Centers, Dr. Hawkins serves patients living in and around Sandwich, Yorkville, and Aurora, Illinois.

Dr. Hawkins was born just outside of Chicago in Evergreen Park. He earned his undergraduate degree from Benedictine College, located in Lisle, Illinois, followed by his medical degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Hawkins then completed his subsequent residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, located in Chicago.

Today, Dr. Hawkins is a registered vascular technologist and a registered physician in vascular interpretation. At Fox Valley Vein Centers, he offers effective solutions for several common vascular conditions, including spider veins and varicose veins. Marsha E. Gorens, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving the women in and around the Chicago area. With more than twenty-five years of experience as an OB/GYN, Dr. Gorens understands the nuances of women’s health and the role that body image can play.

Besides providing women’s health care, Dr. Gorens is committed to promoting the importance of healthy skin and improved skin care practices. Maureen Tart, MD, FACOG, NCMP, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois.

Dr. Tart grew up in Connecticut and came to the Windy City to complete her residency training.

She completed her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University with a major in psychology. She also received her medical degree from Georgetown and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. She was the academic chief resident and trained with Heather B. Heiberger, MD, FACOG, and Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG. Before coming to Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd., she practiced in Chicago for over ten years. She was the Co-Medical Director of her group and Vice Chair of the OB/GYN department for several years.

Dr. Tart’s special interests include adolescence, weight management, guiding patients through the infertility process and menopause management. She is a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP).

Dr. Tart believes her role as an OB/GYN is to partner with patients to promote their health. From teenage to menopausal years, the reward is the long term relationships she develops with the patients and their families.

She is married with two adult stepsons and two younger sons, who keep her very busy. Her youngest son was adopted domestically, so promoting adoption is important to her. Her decision to move to the suburbs was driven by her children.

Tanya Huang, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois. 

Dr. Huang was born and raised a Texan but has embraced the truly changing seasons of weather and life in the Midwest.

She graduated from Rice University in Houston with a double major in English and Biology. She completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas and stayed there to do her four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Parkland Memorial Hospital where she learned to speak some “Pelvic Spanish.” She is board certified and a Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Huang’s special interests are in adolescent gynecology and non-invasive procedures like ablations for heavy bleeding and holistic menopause care, including acupuncture.

Dr. Huang believes all women deserve education about their bodies, empathy for any issues or problems and expert medical support while they traverse through adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause.

She has three children, two of whom are twin boys. Her husband, Daniel, is an associate judge in the 19th Circuit Court.

 Michael Hubbell, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. located in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois. 

Dr. Hubbell was born in Michigan, but his family is from the Wisconsin farming communities of Edgerton and Sparta (Go Packers). His family moved frequently when he was growing up, but he came back to the Midwest and completed his medical school and residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Hubbell enjoys seeing multi-generational families. He provides patients with personalized care and treats them with honesty, integrity, and compassion. Heather B. Heiberger, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois. She was born and raised on Chicago’s North Shore.

After graduating from Evanston Township High School, she ventured to the West Coast to attend Stanford University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Values, Technology, Science and Society (VTSS) with a minor in Human Biology. She returned to the Midwest to reconnect with her family and the seasons.

There, she attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine and stayed in Illinois to complete her four-year residency at The University of Chicago Hospitals. During her residency, she served as academic chief resident. Dr. Heiberger is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Being raised in a family of four girls, Dr. Heiberger has a special interest in overall women’s health both in obstetrics and gynecology. She also has areas of interest in adolescent gynecology, abnormal pap smears, menstrual regulation, fertility evaluation, endometrial ablations, and minimally invasive surgery. 

As a physician, Dr. Heiberger welcomes the opportunity to work as a team with her patients to help them achieve healthier, happier lives. This is attained through education about their bodies, emphasis on the importance of various preventative care measures and correct medical and/or surgical interventions.

Dr. Heiberger is married and has three daughters. Her favorite thing outside of work is the time she spends with her family. In addition, she enjoys fitness classes, travel, and reading.

Jill Holden, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. located in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois. 

Dr. Holden is a small town girl at heart, having been raised in a big family in central Illinois. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and her medical degree from Kansas University School of Medicine, Kansas City. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

Dr. Holden is the Chief of Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital Medical Staff. Her past positions include Secretary of the Medical Staff Northwestern Medicine at Lake Forest Hospital and the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She maintains an active role in hospital leadership. She has appeared in Chicago Magazine as one of the Top 100 Doctors in Chicago of 2011. In addition, she is listed in Castle Connolly Medical’s Top Doctors of the Chicago Metro Area’s 2nd and 3rd editions. She is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Holden is especially interested in helping women navigate their health journey through life, encompassing adolescent gynecology, well woman care, obstetrics, infertility, minimally invasive procedures, and surgery as well as more complex abdominal surgery. Caring for women is unique in childbearing but also in the malignant and pre-malignant diseases that affect only women. Dr. Holden resides in Lake Forest, Illinois, with her husband, Dan, and has two grown children. She enjoys gardening, piano, fitness, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois.

Dr. Oh began her practice with Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. in 2004. She graduated from Northwestern University with a major in psychology. She received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000, and she completed her OB-/GYN residency through the University of Chicago Hospitals where she was the academic chief resident. Dr. Oh is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
