James Hawkins, DO, is a vein specialist certified by the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, with over 30 years of experience. At Fox Valley Vein Centers, Dr. Hawkins serves patients living in and around Sandwich, Yorkville, and Aurora, Illinois.
Dr. Hawkins was born just outside of Chicago in Evergreen Park. He earned his undergraduate degree from Benedictine College, located in Lisle, Illinois, followed by his medical degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. Dr. Hawkins then completed his subsequent residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, located in Chicago.
Today, Dr. Hawkins is a registered vascular technologist and a registered physician in vascular interpretation. At Fox Valley Vein Centers, he offers effective solutions for several common vascular conditions, including spider veins and varicose veins. Maureen Tart, MD, FACOG, NCMP, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois.
Dr. Tart grew up in Connecticut and came to the Windy City to complete her residency training.
She completed her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University with a major in psychology. She also received her medical degree from Georgetown and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. She was the academic chief resident and trained with Heather B. Heiberger, MD, FACOG, and Elizabeth Oh, MD, FACOG. Before coming to Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd., she practiced in Chicago for over ten years. She was the Co-Medical Director of her group and Vice Chair of the OB/GYN department for several years.
Dr. Tart’s special interests include adolescence, weight management, guiding patients through the infertility process and menopause management. She is a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP).
Dr. Tart believes her role as an OB/GYN is to partner with patients to promote their health. From teenage to menopausal years, the reward is the long term relationships she develops with the patients and their families.
She is married with two adult stepsons and two younger sons, who keep her very busy. Her youngest son was adopted domestically, so promoting adoption is important to her. Her decision to move to the suburbs was driven by her children.
Tanya Huang, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois.
Dr. Huang was born and raised a Texan but has embraced the truly changing seasons of weather and life in the Midwest.
She graduated from Rice University in Houston with a double major in English and Biology. She completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas and stayed there to do her four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Parkland Memorial Hospital where she learned to speak some “Pelvic Spanish.” She is board certified and a Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Huang’s special interests are in adolescent gynecology and non-invasive procedures like ablations for heavy bleeding and holistic menopause care, including acupuncture.
Dr. Huang believes all women deserve education about their bodies, empathy for any issues or problems and expert medical support while they traverse through adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause.
She has three children, two of whom are twin boys. Her husband, Daniel, is an associate judge in the 19th Circuit Court.

There, she attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine and stayed in Illinois to complete her four-year residency at The University of Chicago Hospitals. Being raised in a family of four girls, Dr. Heiberger has a special interest in overall women’s health both in obstetrics and gynecology.
