Dr. Ubom was born and raised in Calabar, Nigeria, and received a bachelor’s degree in radiography from the University of Calabar. Practicing radiography, Dr. Ubom didn’t feel like she was making the kind of impact on the lives of her patients that she wanted to, so she decided to redirect her career.
In 2007, Dr. Ubom moved to the United States to join her husband and decided to go to medical school. She completed her pre-medical studies and received another bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She then attended the historical Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, where she received her medical degree. She recently completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology from Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. During her training, her research work received both departmental and network-wide awards for the best research project. She also received the Society for Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Excellence Award.

Dr. Lu began her educational journey at the Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing, China, where she earned both MD and Ph.D. degrees. She then completed Ob/Gyn residency training and worked as an attending physician at the third hospital of Peking University. Dr. Lu then moved to Houston to pursue her postdoctoral research fellowship training, initially at the breast cancer center at Baylor College of Medicine and subsequently at the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center. After this Dr. Lu decided to go back to her first love, which was direct patient care, specializing in women’s health. Dr. Lu completed Ob/Gyn residency training at the McGovern Medical School in Houston and Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York. Dr. Lu enjoys combining both her clinical expertise and in-depth academic knowledge of her specialty to provide individualized and compassionate care to women of all ages. Dr. Rios’ achievements in college earned her acceptance into medical school at the University of Texas at Houston. It was during her medical school rotations that she discovered that her true calling was in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. After graduation, she chose to pursue a residency position in Amarillo, Texas at Texas Tech. This position was most attractive to Dr. Rios because it was a position where she could do the most good, primarily attending to the underprivileged community of north Texas. During her residency, she received various awards such as Intern of the Year, Best Resident Teacher and Residents Choice Award – a peer-elected award given to the most outstanding physician. She also placed first at the 2010 Resident Research Day and had an article published in the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Although Dr. Rios enjoyed her time in Amarillo she and her husband were anxious to return home to be near family in Houston.

Born in Austin, Texas, Dr. Roberts graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he was elected to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.
Dr. Roberts relocated to California, completing his internship and OB/GYN residency training at Los Angeles County Harbor General Hospital and the University of Los Angeles (UCLA), now known as Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, in West Carson, California.
He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Dedicated to his profession, Dr. Roberts regularly takes courses to keep up with the latest advancements in his field.
Dr. Roberts specializes in infertility and female urinary problems. Taking a collaborative approach to care, Dr. Roberts works one-on-one with his patients, helping them meet their health goals. He spends ample time with his patients, talking about their health conditions and treatment options to make the most informed decision about their care.
Jamila Blount, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is an experienced family nurse practitioner who provides exceptional medical care to adult Black women at Noire Telehealth in Houston, Texas. Jamila is dedicated to supporting women’s physical and mental health through all phases of life.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Texas Tech University’s Health Science Center in Lubbock, Jamila went to Texas Woman’s University in Denton for her master’s degree in nursing. She became a family nurse practitioner after completing her post-master’s certification in nursing at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi.
Jamila is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau and Delta Sigma Theta sororities, the National League of Nursing, and a faculty advisor for the National Student Nurses Association. She also works with Ebony Owl Employee Resource Group.
At Noire Telehealth, Jamila specializes in women’s health services, including menopause management, birth control, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) care. She also has years of experience with women’s mental wellness screenings and treatments for depression, anxiety, and other conditions.
In addition to her clinical work at Noire Telehealth, Jamila serves as the clinical operations supervisor at Western Governors University in Dallas, Texas, and on the adjunct nursing faculty at the University of Houston-Victoria in Victoria, Texas.
Among her accomplishments, Jamila established an institution-wide electronic medical record simulation at Dallas Nursing Institute and founded the Learning Resource Center at Dallas Nursing Institute in Richardson, Texas. She has also co-authored articles in peer-reviewed publications.
Jamila has a passion for empowering women to live a healthy, fulfilling life and mentoring aspiring nurses on their career path.
Dr. Rezk is fellowship-trained in minimally-invasive as well as complex gynecologic surgery and has done hundreds of robotic procedures. He graduated from Cairo University School of Medicine with distinction in 1995 and subsequently trained in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, before pursuing a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Rezk completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, followed by a Pelvic Reconstruction Research Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York. He obtained his Masters in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences in New York, New York. Dr. Rezk’s scientific research is presented at regional and national meetings and published in reputable journals, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
