Dr. Austin received her bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut. After graduation, she worked at a biotechnology firm conducting research on a noninvasive test for Down syndrome before attending medical school. Dr. Austin graduated from the University of
Connecticut School of Medicine and then underwent her residency training at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
