Brian Thomson, MD, specializes in orthopedic surgery of the foot and ankle. He currently sees patients at Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics’s Midtown, Green Hills, and Centennial locations in Nashville and the Cool Springs office in Franklin, Tennessee.
Dr. Thomson graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at Washington University School of Medicine, Barnes and Jewish Hospital in St. Louis in 2006.
Before joining Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics, Dr. Thomson spent 10 years treating patients at Vanderbilt Medical Center’s Orthopaedic Institute. He was an assistant professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and the Director of the Foot and Ankle Center at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He remains a foot and ankle consultant to Vanderbilt Athletics.
