Dr. Michael Hennessy is a native Texan through and through. He is privileged to be able to call himself a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, and he is proud to call Dallas, Texas his home.
Dr. Hennessy was born in Dallas to a family with three other siblings. He stayed in Dallas for his undergraduate education at Southern Methodist University. He majored in mathematics and graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian of his class. Dr. Hennessy then went on to Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. to obtain his medical degree. He graduated cum laude and then was drawn back to Texas when he matched an Orthopaedic surgery residency here locally at The University of Texas Southwestern. It was during his time at UTSW that he met his wife and eventual mother of their two children, Fallon.
After completing the rigorous training program at UTSW and Parkland Hospital, Dr. Hennessy decided to get a little bit more sunshine by completing his spine surgery fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Behrooz Akbarnia in San Diego, California. He knew he wanted to practice medicine back in Texas so he accepted his first position after training at a very well-known Orthopaedic surgery clinic in San Antonio, called The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group. After spending three years in San Antonio, Dr. Hennessy and his wife made the decision to return to his hometown of Dallas and he has been practicing at Texas Spine Consultants ever since. “I was very pleased with Dx Waldrops work. Got a look at the X-ray today two weeks out from surgery and was impressed with the alignment of the mating parts, top and bottom as well as how well they were anchored to their mating surfaces(tibia & femur). My mistake was not taking my BP meds several days leading up to surgery. This resulted in an additional day in the hospital due to elevated levels coming out of surgery(200/100). After I was discharged however, the Dx who discharged me forgot to date the pain script. I wended up settling for Tylenol 3due to the fact that the prescription for the stronger meds couldn't be processed that day 3/16. My PT therapist came by Monday for the 1st visit at home. I wasn't able to get the originally prescribed pain meds until after the third session resulting in not being able to attain my goal of 90°flexion at the affected knee. Anyway here at the end of the second week I'm still @70°. Starting outpatient therapy next week to increase range of motion.”

Dr. Goldstein has a particular interest in sports medicine and has previously been a team doctor at St. John’s University in New York City, and an orthopedic consultant and team doctor for the United States men’s foil fencing team.

Dr. Eugene Stautberg, a native Houstonian, enjoys serving the community near his hometown in Pearland, TX, including Baytown and Sugar Land. Dr. Stautberg is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. He graduated from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, now known as McGovern Medical School. His interest in biomechanics, sports, and rehabilitation led him to orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Stautberg completed his orthopedic surgery residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. During his residency, he received numerous awards, including the ‘Orthopedic In-Training Master Award’ for the highest raw score as a chief resident, the ‘Resident Excellence in Research’ award, and the ‘Golden Bone Award’ for his role in the education of medical students as a junior resident.
After residency, Dr. Stautberg completed a foot and ankle fellowship at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Johnson, a former president of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He also trained with Dr. Sandra Klein and Dr. Jeremy McCormick, both involved in education, research, and equality within orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Stautberg has multiple published articles, most recently in the Journal of Arthroscopy. Further, he has had articles featured in ‘AAOS Now’, a national publication, where he focused on healthcare advocacy for orthopedic surgery patients and education of surgeons on policy.
Dr. Stautberg is an active member of multiple organizations. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Texas Orthopedic Association, where his work has focused on educating residents on health policy and practice management topics. Additionally, he is a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS).
Dr. Stautberg is interested in general orthopedic care including trauma and arthritis. He is trained in comprehensive foot and ankle care, from acute sports injuries to chronic conditions. His focus includes sports injuries such as Achilles tendonitis and ankle instability. He also treats complex reconstructions ranging from flatfoot deformity to total ankle replacement and external frames. Further, he addresses all midfoot and forefoot pathology, including bunion and toe deformities.
Dr. Stautberg spends most of his free time with his young family but enjoys travel, Houston sports teams, and golf.
