Dr. Hennessy was born in Dallas to a family with three other siblings. He stayed in Dallas for his undergraduate education at Southern Methodist University. He majored in mathematics and graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian of his class. Dr. Hennessy then went on to Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. to obtain his medical degree. He graduated cum laude and then was drawn back to Texas when he matched an Orthopaedic surgery residency here locally at The University of Texas Southwestern. It was during his time at UTSW that he met his wife and eventual mother of their two children, Fallon.
After completing the rigorous training program at UTSW and Parkland Hospital, Dr. Hennessy decided to get a little bit more sunshine by completing his spine surgery fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Behrooz Akbarnia in San Diego, California. He knew he wanted to practice medicine back in Texas so he accepted his first position after training at a very well-known Orthopaedic surgery clinic in San Antonio, called The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group. After spending three years in San Antonio, Dr. Hennessy and his wife made the decision to return to his hometown of Dallas and he has been practicing at Texas Spine Consultants ever since. He is very honored to have the opportunity to practice medicine and serve the very community where he was raised.
