Mike Reing was born and raised here in Northern Virginia. He graduated from Marymount University in 2001 and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics since. Mike was certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2003 by the American Physical Therapy Association. Prior to Co-founding Advantage, he was a clinic and group director for a national outpatient physical therapy provider for four years. He specializes in orthopedics with areas of sub-specialization in adult and pediatric oncology rehabilitation, sports rehab programs, cervicogenic headaches, and orthopedic pediatrics. He is affiliated with the Children’s National Medical Center where he is part of the clinical team in both the Late Effects Clinic and the Neuro-Oncology Clinic.
He has presented lectures in a number of his specialty areas to a variety of both physician and patient groups including: control of Chronic Tension Headaches in the pediatric population at “Pediatrics for the Practitioner”, the role of Physical Therapy in lower and upper extremity injuries to the Fairfax Hospital Orthopedic Residents, and the role of exercise and fitness in preventing and controlling late effects at the Life with Cancer Survivorship Conference.
His treatment philosophy involves a combination of manual therapy, patient-specific therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and a strong patient education focus. The focus of all of his rehabilitation programs is to optimize his patient’s functional capabilities and expedite their return to full, independent status.
Mike played soccer at Mary Washington College and now enjoys cheering on his son’s and daughter’s soccer and basketball teams. He along with his wife and kids also enjoy a variety of other outdoor and athletic activities.

Samuel Corbin is one of the dedicated physical therapists practicing at Advantage Physical Therapy in Falls Church, Virginia. He provides a wide variety of physical therapy treatments and services, specializing in dry-needling trigger point release and sports medicine.
Samuel Corbin is an Alexandria, VA native. He graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School and then attended Old Dominion University from which he received a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2009. Sam’s affinity for human performance and sports, combined with observation hours in the Tidewater and Northern Virginia area bolstered Sam’s love for physical therapy. Sam completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Marymount University in 2012 and was the recipient of the physical therapy outstanding student award. Sam is now a direct access-certified Physical Therapist and is certified in Dry Needling. Sam is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Sports Section and a professional member of the American College of Sports Medicine.
Following physical therapy school, Sam gained experience working at an outpatient orthopedic clinic for two years associated with Nirschl Orthopedic Center in Arlington, Virginia. Sam has experience working with patients of all ages and abilities. Sam believes in applying the evidence-based practice in-clinic to help a patient achieve his or her personal goals. Assisting patients in the return to an active lifestyle is what drives Sam to be the best physical therapist he can be.

Stacey Stuart provides a variety of physical therapy services to adult and youth patients at Advantage Physical Therapy in Falls Church, Virginia. She specializes in pediatric physical therapy services, developmental delays, and the diagnosis and treatment of Torticollis, or wry neck. She is dedicated to helping her patients achieve the best possible overall health.
She is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She received a scholarship to play Division I Field Hockey at Duke University and graduated in 2004 with a major in Environmental Science and Policy. After several knee surgeries and a few years working as a government consultant, Stacey decided to make a change and headed back to school to study physical therapy. She graduated from George Washington University in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at GW, she discovered her love of treating the pediatric population during an internship at Georgetown University Hospital.
Stacey specializes in working with children with Torticollis, developmental delay, CP, hypotonia, Spina Bifida, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, and a variety of rare syndromes. Her treatment philosophy involves a combination of manual therapy, NDT, patient-specific therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and patient/parent education. When Stacey is not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three young sons. She also enjoys staying active and heading back to the beach as often as possible.

Tristan Shockley, MD, is a sought after board-certified pain medicine doctor with a passion for helping men and women eradicate pain and restore their quality of life. He specializes in nonsurgical interventional pain medicine, prolotherapy, weight management, and physiatric treatments. His main office is at the CHOICE Pain & Rehabilitation Center office Dundalk, though he frequently meets with patients at their other Maryland locations in Olney, Rosedale, Hyattsville, Lanham, Pikesville, and Gaithersburg.
Equipped with the most advanced and innovative technologies, Dr. Shockley pinpoints the source of pain, makes a precise diagnosis, and treats the underlying issue with fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures. Obi Onyewu, MD, FAAPMR, is a fellowship-trained and double board-certified pain medicine physician who mainly practices at the CHOICE Pain & Rehabilitation Center offices in Olney, Rosedale, Lanham and Pikesville, Maryland. He’s a perennial nominee and winner of top doctor awards, including The Becker Spine Review’s Top 150 Pain Specialists to Know and Vital’s Patient Choice and Compassionate Doctor awards.
After receiving his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Dr. Onyewu completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He followed that with a pain medicine fellowship at the Mid-Atlantic Pain Institute in Delaware.
Dr. Obi — as he’s known to his patients — is dedicated to eliminating acute and chronic pain disorders with minimally invasive techniques and helping his patients with complex pain concerns return to their regular activities. Cecile S. Gibbs, MPT is an intuitive and caring clinician. With over a decade in a half of pelvic health care experience, Cecile's career has been spent treating and educating her community on Women's and Men's health. Her care philosophy is rooted in the belief that caring for the patients physical, mental, emotional and spiritual state is vital to successful intervention and the return of a patient to their highest level of function. When not at work, Cecile spends most of her time wrangling her two boys, working her Mary Kay business, loving on friends and family and being a foodie with her fabulous husband.
