About NewMed Immediate Care

At NewMed Immediate Care, urgent care specialist Ruchir Thakkar, DO, provides general, preventive, and diagnostic services to people of all ages living in and around Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and throughout Cook County.

The practice is conveniently located and provides quick, fast-paced, and courteous care. Dr. Thakkar offers same-day appointments, modern treatment protocols, and quick turnaround times on lab results, including COVID-19 antibody testing with Abbott ID NOW™ and Quidel® rapid COVID-19 testing.

Additionally, patients can receive diagnoses and treatments for abscesses, asthma, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and wound care. Dr. Thakkar also provides traditional medical care and preventive screenings, like DOT physicals and physicals for patients of all ages, primary care, and telemedicine.
