About Dr. Ajeya Joshi, MD
Dr. Ajeya P. Joshi is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in spinal disorders at the Stone Oak office of South Texas Spinal Clinic.
Dr. Joshi’s special clinical interests include cervical spine care, pediatric and adult spinal deformity, and minimally invasive lumbar and cervical spine technologies. He's also a practitioner of regenerative medicine strategies in healing orthopedic and spinal injuries for patients in South Texas.
Originally from Lexington, Massachusetts, Dr. Joshi graduated from Dartmouth College summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and biochemistry. Dr. Joshi went on to earn his medical degree at Harvard Medical School in Boston, and he completed his orthopedic training in the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. He then completed a comprehensive fellowship in spinal surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. Joshi enjoys hospital privileges at Nix Medical Center, Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, the Spine and Surgical Hospital of South Texas, Baptist Health System hospitals, and Methodist Healthcare hospitals.

Dr. Joshi listened to my concerns. Showed me what was happening to my lower spine. He then explained what might be done. He reviewed my health history and took into consideration my options. This was a most positive meeting.

BAMC ER X ray showed a fractured vertebrae. Dr. Joshi ordered X Ray from STRIC and diagnosed the fractured vertebrae was an old fracture. So all is okay at this time.

Dr. joshi is the best!. He provides many suggestions to help decrease the neck & back pain. He does not “rush to surgery” which may or may not help.I trust him implicitly.
Dr. Joshi is one of the kindest men I have ever known. He takes his time to describe each step that is necessary in your treatment. He talks in a language you do not have to be a doctor to understand. He will not recommend a surgery unless it is the last option. You are not a number to him. He has even checked on me when I had procedures done in the hospital that were not related to my back. I highly recommended him for any back issues. You will be happy with your decision.
Dr. Joshi showed me MRI and X-Rays, explained throughly what was wrong and gave me options for treatments. Very knowledgeable. Relief to know I do not need surgery at this time.

Dr Joshi and his staff were absolutely the most amazing Dr and staff team I have ever met. My son (14) was tgw patient and they made him feel so comfortable and stress free during our visit. I’m a retired AF medic I’m even thinking of seeing him for my back issues. Loved them.

Dr Joshi is the best and Deanna was ice but the receptionist is as rude as she was last time I was there..She really needs to decide if this is what she wants to do because she acts like she's very unhappy. I will go back to the Hardy Oaks location going forward.
