In and out quickly this visit and no wait, which is not always the case. Nurses are consistently outstanding, friendly and kind. Front desk staff can be hit or miss. Last time she was shouting about how the note in the system saidShow more the mom is always late. I had already checked in. I’m sure she was referring to me. Try being a single mom of 2, working all day in Gainesville and picking up both children to make a Woodbridge appointment on time. Waiting for your older son’s late school bus. Seems hypocritical to keep patients waiting for 30 minutes plus but not give them a 10 minute grace period.
This was our first visit with Grace and let me tell you, she was absolutely amazing. She was able to take my daughter in stride (she is a talker and is always “on”, so someone who makes her feel acknowledged and important is huge!Show more) and make her feel comfortable. Grace was very tuned into Hadleigh. She really took the time to talk to her about any concerns she had or if anything stuck out as important to her and I absolutely was impressed with her! 10/10 recommend!!
Meet Dr. Tyabji
Alifiya Tyabji, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She provides comprehensive pediatric care at NOVA Pediatrics and Young Adult Medicine in Woodbridge and Springfield, Virginia. She speaks medical Spanish and enjoys serving patients of diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Tyabji grew up in Stephens City, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Virginia in 1999, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2004, where she also completed her internship and residency in pediatrics. After practicing in Colorado Springs and Las Vegas, she and her family relocated to Northern Virginia to follow her husband’s Air Force career.
When she is not working, Dr. Tyabji enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. She stays very involved with her children’s activities. Traveling is a passion of hers. She also enjoys photography, watching sports, and eating multicultural cuisines.

Dr Alifiya Tyabji is Superexcellent her medical knowledge is fantastic &she always focus at the root cause.She diagnosed PNEUMONIA on my 6 year daughter on Monday 11th March by detail examination & on auscultation she found crackling sound & her confidence was great.I will highly recommend everyone & I have no hesitation to say that she is an asset in Medicine.

Dr. Tyabji is our go-to pediatrician in the local area. She's good about talking with our children so that they learn how they should interact with a healthcare provider and how to advocate for themselves. As a parent, she makes the time to have a genuine conversation about how we're approaching health as a family, offering practicable recommendations. Because of the time and care that she takes, her exams are thorough and we feel that any questions or concerns we have are well addressed.
