Dr. Johnson was absolutely wonderful. She immediately put me at ease as a new patient, and I have nothing but good things to say about her. She is trustworthy and I am happy to call her my provider. However, I was disappointed bShow morey the processes of the office. I was asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to my new patient appointment, which I had no problem doing. In fact, I arrived 20 minutes early to insure I gave the practice plenty of time. However, my appointment was at 2:00, and I was not called back until 3:20. Therefore, I waited an hour and 40 minutes in total. I was very disheartened to wait so long. It was frustrating to see so many others come in and go before me while I waited.
Haven't seen an OBGYN in 7 years didn't have insurance so my anxiety was bad. Well immediately I came in it all went away and I felt so relaxed, they had a very calming music kinda like a spa vibe the waiting room was so clean andShow more cozy very elegant, receptionist was very welcoming and informative and the nurse how prep me and did my vitals was excellent she always had a smile and very pleasant. The doctor she was a doll so nice and took her time explaining everything to me even as I had so much to cover is been 7 years. I'm so happy I found them and totally recommend.
Andrea Christensen, CNM, APRN, is a Certified Nurse Midwife at The Women’s Center, which has locations in Orlando, St. Cloud, Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, Ocoee, Winter Park, Narcoossee, and Celebration. She has an extensive nursing history in Orlando and provides quality and compassionate healthcare for women.
After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Central Florida, Andrea pursued her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She has over 12 years of experience as a high-risk L&D OR/PACU RN at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. She also has a clinical nursing background in dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
Andrea is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and is devoted to empowering women through education and support. She has instructed sexual education classes to prepubescent/pubescent girls for OCPS. She believes that early knowledge and guidance in young adulthood promote healthy behaviors in women.
Andrea has grown up mostly in the state of Florida but has roots in North Carolina and Thailand. Coming from a military family, she had the opportunity as a young teenager to live just outside of London, England. She was raised in the Florida Panhandle and has spent the last 15 plus years here in Orlando. Outside of work, Andrea likes to spend time with her husband and her son. They enjoy traveling, live music, and outdoor adventures.
