Anisa Nayeem, MD, is one of the skilled providers practicing at Southern Kidney Specialists, a nephrology practice serving patients in McMinnville, Manchester, and Winchester, Tennessee. She is board-certified in internal med, nephrology & hypertension.
Dr. Nayeem completed her medical school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where she was part of the AOA Honor Society. She then continued on to complete her residency as well as her nephrology training at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). She received her Master's in Public Health degree from the University of California Berkeley in 2006. She has been a strong advocate for female physicians and has participated as a mentor and co-chair in many female physician organizations.
Dr. Nayeem practiced nephrology in California for about four years before returning to her roots in the South. She moved with her family to Tennessee in 2011 and has served the rural communities of Winchester, Manchester, and Tullahoma since that time. She currently serves as Medical Director of the US Renal Care Dialysis Unit in McMinnville as well as the Davita Dialysis Unit in Murfreesboro. She has clinic locations in Winchester, Manchester, and McMinnville.

Dr. Nayeem is a wonderful, warm, caring person. Her encouragement and support as well as excellent, thorough and attentive care have been so helpful to me. Dealing with a chronic condition can be tiresome. I always leave her office feeling empowered and confident in being able to do my very best to stay healthy.
