My visit with Dr. Herron was very good. She educated me on some issues related to autoimmune conditions and how they can impact CKD--stuff I definitely would not find on most health sites, and maybe not even in medical journal seaShow morerches. That part was excellent. I was frustrated finding the office itself. Part of this is likely the fault of St. Thomas. In a nutshell, none of the signage by the elevators pointed to nephrology or kidneys, or had Dr. Herron's name on it. Even the FedEx guy didn't know. Then, even when I finally learned that I needed to look for the rheumatology signs, there was only a smallish sign in the check-in window. There was a single-person line to wait to check in, so I waited nearly 10 minutes while two other patients were assisted by the (unknown to me) rheumatology desk person. It had been a few months since my first visit to this office, and I really couldn't recall all these tiny details of checking in. (I have a few doctors and most have their own quirks about location or check in). Some extra signage to make things clear would go a long way to a much better experience. I met Dr. Heron with my granddaughter, Mckenna. She didn’t have the most recent labs taken at Dr. Mackens office. My kidneys are fluctuating be: 35 and 40. I left a urine sample with a lab and await hearing results whether thereShow more is protein there. She mentioned Jardiance meds, but I’m reluctant to try it as I feel it is more geared towards diabetes which I do not have.
