This appointment was for typical nail trimming and then Dr Wehrli examined my feet and we decided my big toes needed to be straightened as he had done to my other four toes on each foot because I have hammer toes and my toes were Show morebeing damaged. Schedule for another 3 weeks so when I come back I'll walk out with straight toes on both feet hooray. I look forward to this and totally trust this doctor and his staff to do their best
I am five weeks post surgery for Dr Werhli’s mini lock bunion surgery. I am extremely happy with my results so far. I had the surgery in his office and I was very well treated. I am very impressed with his bedside manner and thShow moree time he took to answer all my questions and concerns pre-op and post op. I never felt rushed. About Dr. Wehrli
Known as an architect and pioneer of innovative approaches to foot and ankle care, Ben Wehrli, DPM, has built an international reputation for exceptional patient care and effective treatment solutions. Dr. Wehrli treats patients at Coachella Valley Foot and Ankle Institute, located in Rancho Mirage, California.
After completing his Bachelor of Science in microbiology, with an emphasis in medical technology, from Idaho State University, Dr. Wehrli was accepted into medical school. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Iowa.
Dr. Wehrli then went through a highly competitive foot and ankle surgical residency at the nationally renowned Detroit Medical Center through Wayne State University in Michigan. Shortly after completing his educational requirements, Dr. Wehrli went on to become board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Before coming to Coachella Valley Foot and Ankle Institute, Dr. Wehrli worked at Desert Regional Medical Center’s Institute of Clinical Orthopedics and Neurosciences. While there, Dr. Wehrli specialized in minimally invasive sports medicine procedures, including the revolutionary arthroscopic Brostrom-Gould procedure for ankle ligament ruptures and instability.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wehrli has held several prestigious positions focusing on new-and-improved approaches to foot and ankle treatment. He has even served as a consultant with major orthopedic companies such as Stryker, Trilliant Surgical, and S.E.G.-WAY™ Orthopedics.
Because of his athletic background, Dr. Wehrli has a passion for helping athletes get back to 100%. He played major college baseball on a scholarship at Brigham Young University in Utah and at Idaho State University. Before that, Dr. Wehrli lettered in wrestling, baseball, and football during a star high school career, where he earned the title of “U.S. Marine Corps Athlete of the Year.” Sports and athletic care continue to remain at the forefront of Dr. Wehrli’s expertise.

Quick and pleasant
I’ve been a patient at CVFootandankle for several years now. At almost 80 years old, I have occasional problems causing pain and difficulty walking. However, Dr. Wehrli and his assistants consistently provide excellent care to relieve that pain and help me get back on my feet again. I continue to live a productive and satisfying life in large part due to their care. Thank you!

Dr Wehrli always explains what is wrong, treatment options, and I never feel rushed. The staff that work in the office are all very helpful and friendly.

This is a great clinic. The Dr takes the time to listen to your needs, and is very kind. Very short wait time once you arrive. The ladies at Reception are friendly and the office is beautifully decorated kinda feels like I’m in a museum with all the beautiful artwork.
