About Dr. Carmelo Plateroti, DO

Carmelo Plateroti, DO, FAOCD, FAAD, is a board-certified osteopathic physician and dermatologist with more than 30 years of experience in practice. He takes a holistic approach with his patients, addressing the whole person rather than just their symptoms. Dr. Plateroti at the Plateroti Center in Templeton, California, provides a variety of comprehensive services to tackle chronic health issues and promote overall health with a partnership between patient and practitioner, with the use of natural, effective, less-invasive interventions whenever possible.

In addition to his osteopathic treatment services, Dr. Plateroti has years of experience in dermatology, providing diagnostics and innovative treatments, including dermatologic surgery, for a variety of skin conditions.

Dr. Plateroti obtained his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island, New York. He later completed an internship and a residency at the Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, Queens. He also completed a Family Practice residence at Long Beach Memorial Hospital and a Dermatology residence at Kern County Medical Center & Bakersfield Dermatology and Skin Cancer in Bakersfield, California.

Dr. Plateroti is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. He is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

For the convenience of his patients, Dr. Plateroti speaks multiple languages, including Italian and Spanish. He’s currently accepting new patients.
