My gastroenterologist doctor in Richmond VA recently retired; i requested a recommendation for a new gastro doctor from my ENT and Internal doctor in Fredericksburg. Dr. N. Dash recommended Dr. Pai with a referral, and my InternaShow morel Specialist agreed with his/my choice. I often need treatment from my gastro doctor on a yearly basis. Dr. Pai performed an endoscopy for me on 14 April 2022. This was my follow-up visit with him. After going to my Richmond doctor for over 25+ years, I was pleased with my initial conference with Dr. Pai and his staff. My procedure went smoothly and I was very-well pleased with Dr. Pai's treatment and care. His staff was superb in their thoughtfulness and care during my procedure. Dr. Pai's attitude, personality and bed-side manner made my endoscopy a "comfortable" experience without undue stress. Chetan Pai, DO, MBA is a gastroenterologist at Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg, which has locations in Fredricksburg and Stafford, Virginia. He joined the practice in June 2010.
Dr. Pai earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In addition, he was selected among many applicants to do an advanced endoscopy fellowship (ERCP & EUS) at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Pai is Board Certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He is the only one in the surrounding area that has had additional training (certified) to perform EUS. His areas of interest include therapeutic endoscopy [ERCP, EUS guided FNA, luminal stenting, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR)], colon screening, GERD, liver disease, and diseases of the bile ducts and pancreas.
Dr. Pai is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Pai recently served as the Medical Director of The Endoscopy Treatment Center at Mary Washington Hospital. He is committed to educating patients about their illnesses to enable them to be active participants in their care.
Dr. Pai recently received his Master's of Business Administration from George Washington University and currently serves as the practice's Managing Partner. Dr. Pai resides in Stafford County with his wife and two daughters. His interests include boating, biking, and working out. Dr Pai is great… can’t say enough about his gentle spirit, knowledge and his listening ear along with his great bedside manner.
