Dr. Dr. Hector, You are a lovely kind person and tried to do your best, but this was the first time I was injected twice and my knee hurt more than it ever has after the injections. I had to take Aleve, something I hardly ever do Show morenowadays, because I'm on Eliquis blood thinner to prevent strokes. And I usually do not have severe knee pain making it so difficult to stand and sit. I'm sorry to say that this injection experience was not good. My knee hurt horribly, and much more than prior to the injection. I do NOT want to upet you or make you feel bad about it, and deliberated about saying anything. Please understand I come from a blended so called white and so called Black family and I've been a Civil Rights worker all my life, since I was abused by th KKK for integrating Selma Television as a journalist in 1961, 3 yrs before king marched, in Selma. I've written a prize winning book against prejudice. I was a professor and a journalist/activist for Civil Rights, and I've a grandson whom I adore who is a person of color. Your being who you are has NOTHING to do with my reaction to the injections of my knee last week. We live in a world that makes me want to assure you of that. You really tried to do the correct thing. I'm sorry it went wrong. I never had a problem before with knee injections, not as painful as this one. It is subdued now after 3 days on Naproxin Salts or Aleve. I'm OK, but that other thing that was so uncomfortable is the waiting room there. I used to go to OVERLOOK MED. CENTER for injections with Dr. Malissa Mascaro and others who worked with her and that office was so much m ore comfortable and the waiting room more endurable. ANS IT WAS NEARER TO MY HOME. I will not be returning to that location. Please do not feel bad, and I hope I am sharing this with ONLY you.. You were kind and polite and did your best, but don't you feel I should be honest? For your sake and others. I wish you the very best in future. I was not going to say anything, but my daughter said I should for your sake and the sake of others, to perhaps, make it more of a learning experience. Again, I wish you the best, and perhaps this was just a fluke and you will do well with others. Sincerely, Dorothy
Scheduling my appointment was seamless! I arrived to the office with films showing 3 separate fractures after a biking incident in Portugal. Dr. Hector, an excellent listener, reviewed my reports/films and explained my situation iShow moren detail. Although my hope was to receive some aggressive PT strategy and move on with my day, I was informed otherwise. Dr. Hector did not hesitate to connect me with a top orthopedic surgeon, who will be repairing my elbow. I am truly grateful for Family and Sports Medicine Institute. Highly recommend.
