Dwight Hooper M.D. is a certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist in practice since 1995. He brings his extensive experience to the team at The Howard Center, with locations in Covington, Valdosta, Moultrie, Warner Robins, Leesburg, Douglas, Tifton, and Waycross, Georgia.
Dr. Hooper was born in Baltimore, Maryland and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of Art in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1981. In 1985, he received his Medical Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.He completed residency at Harbor Hospital in 1991. He then attended Kennesaw State University, graduating in 2001 with a Masters in Business of Administration.
Dr. Hooper also served in the United States Air Force, ranking as a Major and practicing obstetrics and gynecology. He also was a Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Since 2015, he has served as an Obstetrics Hospitalist.

Love The Experience

I love the Howard Center. I drive all the way from Valdosta to come to the Tifton office. I had a rough experience at another off and the Ladies at the Howard Center have put me at ease the whole time. This is our first pregnancy and its been a great experience. This last appointment, Savannah had me cracking up.
Everyone was nice and I would definitely recommend going to The Howard Center!

The entire office was professional and the wait time was minimal.
Everyone was very thorough with their roles and there was little to no wait time. Everyone was kind. I got an ultrasound, Pap smear, and blood drawn. Very smooth process start to finish.

I loved my visit
When I called for the 1st time to schedule an appointment the customer service was 100+. Upon arrival customer service 100+. My visit with each staff member again 100+. The ultrasound tech & midwife I saw explained everything to me. I will most definitely refer my family & friends to this office.
She is always sweet and explains things so I can understand what's going with me.
