I usually see Laney and she is wonderful. I recently saw Angie and it was the worst medical experience I have ever had. She never took the time to connect the dots or explain what was going on. She wrote me a prescription for my sShow moreymptoms and sent me on my way. As my concerns grew and symptoms worsened she grew rude and impatient with me online. She displayed zero empathy and acted like I was a nuisance. I saw a doctor at GHC a few days later who immediately connected the dots with what was occurring and was able to identify the root of the problem and not just treat the symptoms. I will never see Angie again. I have referred several friends to your practice over the years and will continue to do so but I will tell them to steer clear of Angie for many reasons.
Any OB team may seem great if your pregnancy is perfect but you truly find out if your team is top notch when you have a pregnancy loss. I have only positive things to say about Dr. Cardwell and the entire team at Physicians forShow more Women. They handled our stillbirth with empathy and understanding. Their entire clinic grieved with us and now are helping us with the steps to move forward with a future pregnancy. I feel truly connected with this team and know they have our best interests at heart. I recommend this clinic to every woman I know because every woman deserves to be cared for during times of struggle as I have been by Physicians for Women. Thank you for all that you do!
Frederic A. Melius, MD, FACOG, has been practicing obstetrics, gynecology, and urogynecology in and around Madison, Wisconsin, since completing his residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 1991. During his senior year, Dr. Melius served as chief resident and was the recipient of the Ben M. Peckham Award for outstanding senior resident. After completing his training, Dr. Melius joined the practice of Roley, Anderson & Torhorst. That practice merged to become the University of Wisconsin Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology Generalist Division in 1996. Dr. Melius served as a clinical assistant professor and co-director of women’s health before leaving in the spring of 2001 to form his own practice, Physicians for Women, with Dr. Schurr and Dr. Cardwell.
Dr. Melius grew up in the twin cities and the mountains of Wyoming. He received a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Wyoming before attending Creighton University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Melius is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of The American Urogynecologic Society and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.

Great to have this option for my pregnancy! Availability for appointments has been spotty but hope it improves with another midwife joining soon. Also wish it was closer to me.
