I feel that she has a bedside manor every doctor should have. I have extremely high expectations in my physicians competency and character and Dr Heiberger supersedes all of them. Dr. Heiberger is a wonderful physician and human. I tend to have doctor phobia, but she is very calming and makes the entire visit as pleasant as possible. I also have fertility concerns (I am "old" now at just 41 and have MS), Show moreand she was very reassuring and helpful with taking the time to answer my questions and provide me with proper referrals to both high risk doctors and to fertility clinics who could assist with surrogacy if we decide to choose that route. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Heiberger! The entire staff is also very friendly and kind as well.
Heather B. Heiberger, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Ob-Gyne Associates of Lake Forest, Ltd. in Lake Forest and Grayslake, Illinois. She was born and raised on Chicago’s North Shore.
After graduating from Evanston Township High School, she ventured to the West Coast to attend Stanford University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Values, Technology, Science and Society (VTSS) with a minor in Human Biology. She returned to the Midwest to reconnect with her family and the seasons.
There, she attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine and stayed in Illinois to complete her four-year residency at The University of Chicago Hospitals. During her residency, she served as academic chief resident. Dr. Heiberger is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Being raised in a family of four girls, Dr. Heiberger has a special interest in overall women’s health both in obstetrics and gynecology. She also has areas of interest in adolescent gynecology, abnormal pap smears, menstrual regulation, fertility evaluation, endometrial ablations, and minimally invasive surgery.
As a physician, Dr. Heiberger welcomes the opportunity to work as a team with her patients to help them achieve healthier, happier lives. This is attained through education about their bodies, emphasis on the importance of various preventative care measures and correct medical and/or surgical interventions.
Dr. Heiberger is married and has three daughters. Her favorite thing outside of work is the time she spends with her family. In addition, she enjoys fitness classes, travel, and reading.

Dr. Heiberger is amazing! She is an expert in her field, and she remembers her patients, and she is very patient focused.
I hate going to the doctor and have terrible white coat syndrome (I start dreading the appointment a couple of days before the appointment and my blood pressure always spikes during my appointment). However, Dr. Heiberger is always fantastic at keeping me as calm as possible. She is very thorough, very kind, and she listens to well. She provides excellent care, and as much as I still dread visiting the doctor, she makes it as painless as it possibly could be for me with my anxiety.
Dr. Heiberger takes time with you. She listens and I feel she is really concerned and focused on me.
The office is very comfortable and they are very friendly and nice.

LOVE Dr. Heiberger! She delivered my daughter and I cannot express how much better my overall experience was with her than with my previous doctor.
