I am so happy to leave feedback for Dr. Steen and for the office team and even the office itself . Starting with the office: it is decorated in such a gorgeous, coastal, spa-like feel that it was a joy to sit in the waiting room ,Show more walk down the hallway , use the restroom and even to sit in the beautiful examination room. I have never been in a more beautiful doctor’s office or one that was so intentionally designed . Next, the office staff were all extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It was such a welcoming atmosphere. And finally, Dr. Steen: she was amazing. She listened to every single concern I had without rushing, she gave all sorts of options and different scenarios, made me feel validated and in control of my own wellness, and expressed that she would be happy to talk again soon if I needed her with any shifts in my game plan. I am so happy to have found Dr. Steen and her team and this wonderful place to visit.
If I could give more than 5 stars, without a doubt I would! Dr. Steen has delivered all 3 of my children. I could not ask for, nor could I imagine, a better OB. Always addresses all my concerns and questions with facts and compassShow moreion. Listens to my preferences and goals for labor but also has all my trust if things didn’t go as planned, or if I were to have any complications. I had all 3 of my children completely natural (which was my goal for all 3) and I fully believe that is thanks to Dr.Steen and her consistent encouragement throughout my pregnancies and labors. Encouraging words are a powerful thing when you’re going through the worst pain of your life! Haha All in all, having Dr. Steen as my OB for all my pregnancies and deliveries has been a huge blessing to me personally, and my family. My husband and I thank God for doctors like Dr.Steen!
Jennifer Steen, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN and a co-founder of Main Street Obstetrics & Gynecology in Ventura, California. Dr. Steen is dedicated to providing quality gynecology and obstetrics care to women throughout the unique stages of their life.
Dr. Steen earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado and then completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center. In addition to her work at Main Street Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Steen contributes her time to several hospital committees.
As a practicing OB/GYN for more than 15 years, Dr. Steen is passionate about helping patients with comprehensive, evidence-based care. Along with her team, Dr. Steen provides the full spectrum of women’s health care services, including high-risk obstetrics as well as fertility support and menopause care.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Steen loves to enjoy central California with her two comedic boys and her husband, surgical oncologist Dr. Shawn Steen.

I give Dr. Steen and her staff 5 stars. Love the facility, the experience and the Dr. I went in for a regular visit and it was the best doctors visit I could hope for. They were efficient, timely to take me in, and the doctor is very caring. I had to switch doctors because my doctor retired. Was very pleased with the experience and my new doctor
Dr. Steen is wonderful, she’s warm, friendly and crazy smart. The office is stunning, I felt like I was at an office designed by the Ojai Valley Inn. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Going to the OB/GYN is not necessarily on my top 10 places to go. However, having Dr. Steen as my doctor definitely makes it much more enjoyable. Not only that, but now that they have this beautiful new space, I don’t even feel like I’m visiting the doctor’s office. I feel like I’m going shopping at a cute boutique or hanging out at local corner coffee shop. It had such a relaxing; tranquil vibe. I’m actually looking forward to my next OB/GYN appointment!
Dr. Steen was so nice! She really took her time to answer all of my questions in detail and didn’t seem rushed or busy at all. She gave me her undivided attention and made me feel calm and comfortable when I was previously scared to go see an OBGYN. I hope she’ll be my doctor for a long time
They were very accommodating and were able to schedule me as soon as there was a cancellation. The staff and Dr. Steen were very professional and personable.
Dr. Steen is amazing! I tried several ob/gyns and she’s exactly the type of doctor I was looking for. She made me feel heard and understood. She’s knowledgeable and explains things to you. I never felt rushed. The office is beautiful and clean. She said they designed it with the intention of feeling inviting rather than sterile or medical. The receptionists are also so kind on the phone and in person. I’m so happy I found them.
Overall comfortable environment. Felt I was listened to, doctors are very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful and caring. Looking forward to continuing to go.
Dr. Steen discussed the issue with me. She did not make a decision to the extreme, as the previous doctor did, stating there are several options.
