Since becoming a patient of Dr. Turners I have been pleased with there services when I was sooo afraid they always assured me that every was going to be alright, they always thoroughly explain everything to me and put me at ease aShow morebout things that I am so afraid of. I had to get a D&C procedure done and I was so afraid I was up all night researching but the next morning I came into surgery and I saw Dr. Turner all my fears went out of the window when he said “ this procedure is safer than that ride you took to get here today” and that’s when I was ready lol I went in and didn’t ask another question and just as he said everything went perfectly. Everything was painless and successful because him and Mrs. Kathy had advised me of everything to do prior and after my surgery. Then today was my colposcopy and I was in fear of that as well until Dr.Turner explained everything to me and it went very well, I missed several appointments for my colposcopy procedure and everytime Mrs. Kathy called me and made sure she rescheduled for me, that made me feel good, they made me feel like they cared sometimes they cared more than I did. I love this team.
Dr Turner has been my OBGYN for 33 years. I first saw him at the begining of my 1st pregnancy. He exceeded by expectations during my OB years and has always been there walking me through the stages of becoming postmenopausal. I Show morecongratulate him on his upcoming retirement, however the idea of searching for a new OBGYN is daunting. Thank you, Dr. Turner, for such wonderful care over the years. It will be difficult to find another physician that has all of your qualities. Congratulations !
Dr. Jill Prafke is certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, practicing at The Women’s Group in Pensacola, Florida.
Dr. Prafke was born in Chicago, Illinois. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1983 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in German in 1986 from the University of Illinois, Urbana. In 1990, she received her medical degree from the Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Prafke completed her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1994. She practiced for six years in Riverside, Illinois before relocating to Pensacola and joining The Women's Group in September 2000.
She is the OB Gyn Clerkship Director for the Florida State University College of Medicine Regional Campus - Pensacola. She has been a clinical instructor for the FSU medical school, third year rotation in OB/Gyn since the inaugural class in 2003. Her ongoing interest in patient safety lead her to the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy Online Masters Program for Health Care Professionals at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and she completed a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law in 2011. Dr. Prafke is a member of the Florida Medical Association and the Escambia County Medical Society.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and participating in outdoor activities. She enjoys kayaking, biking and running. Most recently she is enjoying concentrating on sprint triathlon training and racing and working on the international distance. Look for her at local running races, 5k through half marathon and sprint triathlon. Dr. Prafke is still grateful to walk and run on the white sands of Pensacola Beach and swim in the emerald water of the Gulf instead of shoveling Chicagoland snow in the winter. Dr. Prafke and the entire Women's group staff were very kind, courteous and professional. From check in to check out, everyone greeted us with a smile and the care provided was extremely comforting. Dr. Prafke and her nursing assistant asked complete and insightful questions and expressed a genuine concern regarding mom's issues. We left having been heard and seen and receiving instructions and medications to address mom's issues.

I accidentally went to the wrong OBGYN, and Dr. Prafke's nurse graciously let me keep my appointment even though I was a couple of minutes late. Dr. Prafke listened to my concerns, ordered appropriate bloodwork, and was kind and professional throughout the visit. Her nurse was also extremely kind and professional. I was a new patient, and will continue to be a patient under Dr. Prafke.
