Dr.Hurschman is a wonderful doctor. He is not a cookie cutter doctor. He treats you as a individual , he listens and finds a plan that works best for you. He knows treatments and proposes ideas that would help improve your lifeShow more . He does not judge you and knows you are not there because you want to be. He is kind , looks you in the eye. You can see he really cares and each time I leave I'm holding my head a little higher. The staff at sage pain and wellness are warm and welcoming. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes wether in person or on the phone. They are very quick to resolve any issues with medication or insurance problems.Always a smile from everyone. Very clean offices. I highly recommend Dr. Hurschman,. So many could benefit from his knowledge to make the right plan come together for you. If I could more than five stars I would. Chronic illness is no picnic. The fact that treatment has become so complicated due to mistrust of the necessary meds to control chronic pain makes it worse. That being said, I always have some feelings of hope these days. That waShow moresn't always the case. I have nearly given up, on more than one occasion. Having treatment at Sage pain and wellness gives me hope. Dr. Hurschman in particular is very caring and listens with empathy. I hope he's around for a long time. I am grateful for his expertise. The office staff has improved quite a bit, also, over what it was like a few years back, before Dr. Hurschman joined the staff. Thanks to the lovely people at Sage, who make my life better.

The doctors and nurses(?) are always kind and helpful and really make sure I'm comfortable and answer my questions well. I only have an issue with the lady receptionist at the Ruffin location of Kearny Mesa. She's really loud in her conversations with her coworkers and it makes me feel uncomfortable when she's talking behind the backs of other coworkers who aren't there... It was really disrespectful
