About Dr. Kevin Jones, MD
Board-certified psychiatrist Kevin Jones, MD, is proud to serve the communities of Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona. He brings over a decade of experience to the team at 2nd Chance Treatment Center.
For his undergraduate studies, Dr. Jones attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, where he was awarded a baseball scholarship and served as a resident advisor. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Jones attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California. He was also accepted into Divinity School at Candler School of Theology in Atlanta. Ultimately, Dr. Jones decided to pursue a career in medicine.
Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies, in 2006. He completed an adult psychiatry residency program at Maricopa Integrated Health System in Phoenix, Arizona. During his time there, Dr. Jones researched involuntary patient length-of-stay at an acute in-patient psychiatric facility before and after the implementation of a smoking ban.
Before joining the team at 2nd Chance Treatment Center, Dr. Jones worked as an outpatient psychiatrist in Colorado for nearly 10 years. In addition to holding board-certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Jones is also Suboxone®-certified.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Jones enjoys the theater, playing the piano, weight training, golf, and tennis.

2nd Chance stands up to it’s name! This is a compassionate and emphathic group who know you when you walk through the door. There is little to no attrition making it easy for me to remember their names. The doctors seem to be intuitive and knowledgeable about my concerns, my meds and my overall behavorial needs.
