About Dr. Maguire
Michael F. Maguire, MD, is an experienced pediatric orthopedic surgeon who also specializes in orthopedic trauma surgery at Maguire & Early Orthopedics, with offices in Santa Barbara and Pismo Beach, California. Dr. Maguire has extensive training in orthopedic surgery, specifically in pediatric patients, and his special areas of interest include hip dysplasia, scoliosis, clubfoot, limb lengthening, neuromuscular disease, and pediatric trauma.
Dr. Maguire completed his undergraduate degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He then completed his orthopedic surgery training at the University of California, San Diego, and at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego. To further his training, Dr. Maguire completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at the University of Utah Primary Children’s Medical Center and at the Shriners Hospital in Salt Lake City.
He is married with three daughters and has been in practice in the Ventura and Santa Barbara counties for over 20 years. .

Great experience!
I met Dr. Maguire at Cottage Hospital after the accident. Scans were taken and analyzed. After a week of recovery I made an appointment with Dr. Maguire. The hands-on assessment was made that I was making normal progress. Some questions were answered and a follow up appointment was made. I felt totally taken care of. Looking forward to my follow up!

I would absolutely recommend and definitely come back for any of my children’s orthopedic needs. It was worth the drive from Bakersfield. The whole office staff was wonderful and amazing. The office was very clean and kid friendly. Dr. Maguire was very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to you. He answered all of my questions patiently. I truly one of the best doctors I have seen.
The facility staff were all helpful and quickly assisted all patients. The doctor was very approachable and explained things in a concise manner.
They are wonderful and put our family at ease.
Dr. Maguire has a comfy office with kind people working there. The x-ray technician is careful and helpful too. Dr Maguire is able to look at the x-rays right away and recommend a solution to any problem. Dr. Maguire is kind, patient and direct. I trust Dr. Maguire and his staff completely.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
The PA was great, reception was good. Big problem was calling and not getting a person. I pressed the button to talk to someone but it just made a beep and I had no idea if I was leaving a message or not. I emailed the person it said to and never heard back. We were only able to get an appointment because I stopped at your Pismo office and begged the receptionist to help us. She called you and was able to get us in that morning. I’m grateful for her.
