Mohammed Islam, MD, FACC, is a cardiovascular disease specialist at Gulf Coast Cardiology Group PLLC in Port Arthur, Texas. Dr. Islam trained in Connecticut and New York at the well-known Yale University and Cornell University programs. He did not like the bitter cold of the Northeast Coast and moved to the Port Arthur area.
He completed three years of internal medicine training and pursued further subspecialty training in cardiovascular diseases for another three years of training. He is board certified in internal medicine as well as cardiovascular disease. He is well trained in preventive cardiology and also board certified in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Islam is a very compassionate, ever-smiling physician. Caring for patients in need is his prime target. This was my first visit, and i will be making this my the place that takes care of my heart. The entire staff is warm,extremely patient,and very accommodating to any special need that you might have..They make you feel welcome plus you are called back at your appointment time and don't have to just sit there waiting for an hour or two.The doctor's put you at ease and are not judgemental about things that you may have done in your past.
