Dr. Strauss
Podiatrist Neil H. Strauss, DPM, FACFAS, CWS, FACCWS, FAPWCA, is the President & CEO of Advanced Foot, Ankle, & Wound Specialists, PA, serving patients in Tamarac, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas Fort Lauderdale, and Boca Raton, Florida.
Dr. Strauss was raised in Beaver County, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he attended the Kiski School for Boys in Saltsburg, the oldest all-male boarding school in America. He then earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
In 1999, Dr. Strauss enrolled at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and then transferred to the Barry University School of Graduate Sciences in Miami, Florida, with the intent to practice in Florida. In 2003, Dr. Strauss earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Barry University and then completed two years of surgical residency training at Westchester General Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Upon successful completion of his residency in 2005, Dr. Strauss joined Dr. Brietstein as his associate, and a year later, became his partner and formed Brietstein & Strauss, DPM, PA. Dr. Strauss is now the CEO and President of the practice and prides himself on his work ethic, approachability, and bedside manner.
He is a diplomat of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Wound Management. Dr. Strauss is also a certified wound specialist and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Professional Wound Care Association, and the American College of Certified Wound Specialists.
Dr. Strauss lives in Parkland, Florida, with his family and is a very active community supporter. His hobbies include: flying full-scale and fixed-wing aircraft, radio-controlled aircraft, collecting and shooting firearms, collecting and restoring vintage and modern sports cars and motorcycles, scuba diving, fly and saltwater fishing, and boating.

Dr Strauss was called in when I was hospitalized with a foot injury. He performed surgery and post treatment. He's always been friendly and pleasant to deal with. This also extends to his office/staff, and from the packed waiting room, I believe others feel the same.
