Podiatrist Reed Coast, DPM, is board certified in podiatric surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He proudly serves patients at the Bay Area Foot Care locations in the Mission District of San Francisco and San Rafael, California.
A native of Idaho, Dr. Coast earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland.
Dr. Coast completed his residency in surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. During his residency training, he specialized in trauma, limb salvage, and elective foot and ankle surgery.
He’s an expert in podiatric care and regularly treats a range of conditions affecting the foot and ankle. From routine foot care to treating complicated fractures, patients of all ages trust Dr. Coast.
In his free time, Dr. Coast enjoys almost any outdoor activity, from floating down the river to skiing down the slopes. He likes running, gaming, and watching sports, particularly his favorite baseball team, the Seattle Mariners.

My visits are always excellent. The Doctor takes time to explain the progress and procedures. I highly recommend this office.

Dr was profecient...tech was good...front office staff attentative. Amazing experience. I waltzed right in and down the hall and felt great!
Loved Dr. McNeil. Very upbeat and direct. My foot pain is still there, but she gave great strategies to reduce it. I think the front desk and techs are nice but may need more training or maybe the docs and techs need to develop strategies to work together more smoothly.
Dr. McNeil has taken ideal care of me from day one with an upbeat attitude and persistent dedication to relieving a long standing condition. 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. Coast took the time to listen to everything I had to say, answered all my questions and came up with a treatment plan that was individualized for me. He has great bedside manner and I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a podiatrist.
Dr. Coast was very helpful and professional. I have pretty much tortured my feet through a life of long distance running and Dr. Coast took the time to clearly explain potential remedies for my existing problems. Persistent corns and blisters were treated in the office.
I thought Dr Coast was an excellent doctor ,he was on time ,courteous ,well informed and I would feel safe with his handling any treatments etc. that could occur with my feet.
Physical therapist reported I Place more than 50% weight on left foot. I claim not more than 40%. Dr. Jacka believes her.

Always a pleasure to be under Dr. Jacka's care, and I particularly enjoy the paintings on the walls. I don't enjoy the old building where he is housed, which is difficult to enter without the doors closing on me, and I can't move fast enough to prevent being hit by them. Also, the toilet is broken in the office and the public bathroom is too far away to go upstairs.
Minimal wait time. Visit included all I required.

Dr. Kim is very attentive and focused. He explained my issue well and offered more than one option for treatment.
Dr. McNeil was great: she didn’t rush, explained everything thoroughly, and she is very knowledgeable. Her assistant Natalia was also great. I definitely recommend Dr McNeil and her practice.
