I drive a distance to get to Hospitality Dental and will continue to since only dentist I trust. I also pay since my insurance doesn’t cover this facility. The best!
About Dr. Richard Schaffner, DDS
Dr. Schaffner is a graduate of Loma Linda University and first practiced with Hospitality Dental Group in 1991 in Rancho Mirage. He has also been associated with HDG in Riverside and San Bernardino, and been in private practice in Redlands. He is an avid bicyclist and singer, having sung with Inland Master Chorale in Redlands for 25 years and for 3 years with Los Angeles Master Chorale.

I enjoyed the dentist and dental assistant. But in the middle of my appointment I was asked to go to the front to pay. I asked if I was paying for today’s visit and was told “whatever you are comfortable with”. An odd answer. I settled the invoice of everything found in the initial evaluation. Why did I have to get up in the middle of the treatments? I was disoriented and confused, did you think I would leave without paying my portion? My husbss as bd was I. The lobby and he also thought it was strange, and would have paid whatever was needed in that moment. It is sitting very strange with us. Still 4 stars for the dentist and Vanessa, but I feel weird about that part.
First off I am not a good patient, I jump around and freak out every time. So Hospitality should get an award just for seeing me. My family and I have been coming for years. Very understanding employees, and they always make a kind atmosphere. The Doctors here have been good to my family.

Everyone was very nice. Very hands on, explained everything.
There was not a single member of staff who was not very kind and helpful. From the front desk to the payment office. Dr. Shaffner was quick, kind, and showed me what he saw in my mouth. From x-rays forward I was told my options, and never felt like I was being upsold, which is becoming more and more common. Instead, I was given a care plan, and talked to about how we can break it up and how to work with my insurance. Wonderful first experience.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The dentist reviewed my treatment options and put me at ease with my concerns. My financial options were also reviewed and they worked out a payment that suited my needs.

Súper friendly and awesome staff
I was in extreme pain from an extraction I had a month ago. I made an emergency appointment and I have to say the staff is awesome, all so friendly and helpful. Dr. Nguyen was great! He listened to everything I had to say and I could see that he really cares for his patients. I feel so much better in just one day. I will recommend this dental office to everyone. Super people!!
