I feel so lucky to have stumbled across this dental practice through my insurance. The experience couldn’t have been better. When I rang up to book I mentioned my severe dentist anxiety and they suggested I meet Dr. Life. I got a Show morecall back letting me know that they had a next day cancellation and that there would be an emotional support animal there if I’d like to take that appointment, which is fantastic customer service. On the day, the team couldn’t have been more reassuring, professional or empathetic. I have a bit of unexpected work coming up, and even though I’m nervous about it I feel like I am in very good hands. I’d recommend this practice to anyone but especially to other nervous patients like me.
Patel dental is no longer the closest dentist to my home by a long shot. I happily will drive the 20 minutes every time, and continue to do so, because they just deliver really fantastic service. More importantly, I really trust tShow morehem. I don't think they are there are there to nickel and dime me but instead are reasonable, honest advocates for my dentistry needs. Together we even found a strategy to avoid some scary procedures by just increasing the the number of regular cleanings I have (which cost me like $10 after insurance). All around love this place and so excited for them that they seem to be doing well. The new office is definitely a big upgrade and is super nice, easier to park at.

Dr. Rafii pursued his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He graduated in 2021 with high achievements, mostly honorably, receiving the Ghassmein Family Scholarship and Lasky Family Scholarship. Among his classmates in dental school, he was also placed #16 out of a class of #143.
Dr. Rafii has had the pleasure of working in different areas of dentistry throughout his professional life, including serving as a dental technician, clinical tutor, and associate dentist. To provide the best patient experiences, Dr. Rafii continues to broaden his dental knowledge and is passionate about global dental outreach.
In his free time, Dr. Rafii is a sports enthusiast and loves spending quality time outdoors with fun activities like scuba diving.

One of the best dentists in SF.
Needed a new dentist close by and randomly found Pastel. They were easy to work with around scheduling, their offices are clean, organized and modern. Personnel were kind, helpful and very professional. Dr. Rafii was friendly and responsive to my questions and didn't try to sell me on anything (unlike many providers these days). Looking forward to working with them in the future.

I enjoyed my visit at Pastel Dental. Everyone was very kind and I did not have to wait a long time to be seen. What I appreciated the most was how thorough the doctor was going over my care. He reviewed my x-rays with me and explained my care options. I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of or sold things I did not need. I am happy to make Pastel my new Dental office.

I had a great experience! This was my first time at Pastel Dental and I have nothing but good things to say. As someone that’s not a huge fan of going to the dentist I had a really great experience. I was nervous going into my filling appointment but Dr. Life made me feel so at ease. She thoroughly explained what she would be doing every step of the way. I was even comforted by her sweet dog who made me even more calm. Getting these things taken care of is never easy but Dr. Life and the rest of the team made it painless and anxiety free!
