About Dr. Stephen Mester, MD
Stephen W. Mester, MD, FACC, is a cardiology specialist at Bay Area Cardiology Associates PA, with offices in Brandon, Sun City Center, Riverview, and Tampa, Florida. Dr. Mester is board certified in internal medicine with subspecialty certification in cardiovascular diseases from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
A graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, he completed his residency at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Mester received his cardiology and interventional cardiology training at the USF College of Medicine.
Dr. Mester is currently the medical director of Electrophysiology Laboratory at Tampa General Hospital and chief of Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiac Surgery at Brandon Regional Hospital. Very straightforward
We had a very good visit with Dr. Mester today for my husband's follow up after a stent procedure 10 days ago. He answered all our questions and spent time with us. He's very positive and encouraging and we felt good when we left. Most of all, we felt like he cared about my husband, as we've felt about all the doctors there.
I was treated with the greatest of respect and everything was explained to me so I could understand

I needed a pre-surgery clearance and review of a regular monitoring test. The check-in was easy and the EKG was done quickly. Dr. Mester reviewed my test results and some lab work performed by another physician and answered all my questions. I walked out with a copy of the paperwork need for my surgery. Very smooth appointment.
