Dr Hodgkiss is a very caring Doctor. I looked for a while for the type of work I would need for my back. I had been using another Dr for 3 years back…3 years ago for pain management and all his work just got my back more inflamed.Show more After reading all the things that Dr. Hodgkiss can do I was so I’m pressed. My first visit I was expecting it to be painful but he was very gentle. I went back today for more work and again very gently and kind. Would for sure tell others to go to see him with your back problems. Plus he can help you with so many other things too. ❤️

Dr. Hodgkiss makes recommendations of procedures that could ease pain for longer periods of time thus providing more mobility with less side effects. Dr. Hodgkiss is professional & has a very kind bedside manor; his staff is efficient, knowledgeable & professional at all times. I feel fortunate to have a healthcare facility of this caliber within a 40 minute driving distance. I recommend this facility to others who suffer from chronic pain & illness.
Thomas Hodgkiss, MD, is a board-certified interventional radiologist at Southern Vascular & Pain Management in Memphis and Union City, Tennessee.
A native of Tennessee, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and received his medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. Afterward, he completed a fellowship program in interventional radiology at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Dr. Hodgkiss previously served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He specializes in interventional oncology and interventional vascular disease and has treated cancer patients at two large cancer centers for over 15 years. In addition, Dr. Hodgkiss formerly worked with AngioDynamics developing and advancing microwave treatments for soft tissue cancers.
He serves as a consultant, researcher, and physician educator for Medtronic focusing on peripheral bone and vertebral tumor ablation. Dr. Hodgkiss has extensive experience in treating vascular occlusive disease and embolization therapy and specializes in treating vascular occlusive disease as well as the repair of aneurysms. His practice also includes creating and maintaining vascular and peritoneal access for kidney failure patients who require dialysis.
Dr. Hodgkiss’ primary areas of interest are interventional vascular/oncology, medical pain therapies, and kyphoplasty treatment for vertebral compression fractures with the subsequent treatment of underlying osteoporosis. He offers a wide range of pain and vascular management techniques utilizing fluoroscopic guidance, CT, and ultrasound.

The staff are great and easy to work with. Dr. Hodgkiss was easy going. He kept me in formed before each move of the procedure.
I never have to wait long. Entire staff is very pleasant. DR. Hodgkiss is so gentle and easy during procedures. I have had more pain relief since becoming a patient than at two other pain management clinics.

Dr. Thomas Hodgkiss is so good with shoulder injections, that when he injected my shoulder he said something and I thought he was fixing to stick me, but he was telling me that I was good to go. I give him a 10 on that one. I never felt a needle.
