Wonderful experience with Dr. Albrecht. Reaching the office, however, is very difficult. Very lengthy hold times. We tried to set up internet or portal communication however the system is not user friendly so that was not a solutiShow moreon. I tried to call in to confirm my follow up appt and the system gave me an estimated hold time of 11 minutes. 20 min later I was still on hold. Office staff is very attentive and helpful once we are able to reach them but phone system is very frustrating.

Dr. Albrecht is a native Houstonian and grew up in Sugar Land. He attended medical school at the University of Texas at Houston and completed his General Surgery training in Phoenix, Arizona, before returning to Texas to provide care to the community where he grew up.
At Southwest Surgical Associates, Dr. Albrecht places emphasis on the comfort of his patients, both emotionally and physically, throughout the course of their care. His interests include general, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery, with an emphasis on gallbladder surgery and complex hernia repairs. He also performs surgery for a variety of cancers, including colon, small bowel, all skin lesions, and also performs port placement for chemotherapy.
In his spare time, Dr. Albrecht enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife, two boys, and his dogs.

My first visit went well. Almost no wait time and was in and out in less than 30 minutes with surgery scheduled less than two weeks away. Very pleased.
