If your goal is to use more than talk therapy and want to actually heal both your mind and body through nutrition, relaxation training, guidance/support, and lifestyle changes, you’re in the right place!
Ms. Vazquez seeks to eliminate your symptoms and improve your mental health by treating the root cause and using behavioral medicine, lifestyle changes, mindful practices, and food as medicine.

It can be challenging to seek support while overcoming a medical condition or suffering from chronic pain. Ms. Vazquez’s approach is far from ordinary, and by combining psychotherapy with nutritional guidance, lifestyle changes, and mindful practices, she can ensure results fast.

Yasaman Mostajeran, PhD
Marriage & Family Therapist
Healing happens in the context of a therapeutic relationship between the patient and the therapist. This connection provides the foundation for attending to the problems and entails a dyadic commitment. Part of this process entails unraveling and integrating the unconscious with the conscious as well as reuniting the body and the mind. Through this process, the therapist supports the patients to hold their unbearable emotions and through this empathic holding, ultimately the patient can let go of their strong feelings. After a successful treatment, the patient could internalize the therapist’s holding function as their own.
Yasaman earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and her pre-doctoral and postdoctoral trainings have been in psychodynamic psychotherapy working with both adults and children. After earning her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, she did her clinical work in various settings including outpatient mental health clinics, family resource centers, schools, and multicultural centers treating various disorders and conducting psychoeducational and process groups.
