Robert Lewis, MD, FACS, is a partner at the Colon and Rectal Surgeons of Greater Hartford, the largest dedicated colon and rectal surgery group in New England, with offices in Bloomfield and South Windsor, Connecticut. Dr. Lewis is board certified in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Lewis earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. After spending time working at the Boston City Hospital, he then pursued his doctorate in medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. While there he completed an additional post-graduate fellowship in Anatomic and Surgical Pathology. He continued training at the University of Pennsylvania, completing a residency in general surgery, as well as translational research at the Harrison Department of Surgical Research. After that, he underwent a year of subspecialty training in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Minnesota before happily joining this practice in 2014.
Dr. Lewis is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, the Frank Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is the program director of the fellowship training program in colon and rectal surgery at Saint Francis Hospital, the only advanced training program of its kind in Connecticut, and the director of the surgical rotation at the Eastern Connecticut Health Network’s family medicine residency.
Most importantly, Dr. Lewis is committed to delivering the best care to his patients, utilizing advanced minimally invasive techniques, including cutting edge robotics, removal of large polyps using flexible endoscopy, and transanal minimally invasive surgery, as well as offering rarely available treatments for fecal incontinence, anal fistulas, and anal cancer prevention.

At Midtown Urology Associates in Austin, Texas, Dr. Michael Trotter strives to improve the lives of every patient in his care through his specialization in vasectomies, male infertility, prostate health, erectile dysfunction, urinary tract infections, and male and female incontinence.
As a proud lifelong resident of Austin, Dr. Trotter began his education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
He expanded his skills and experience through a residency in urology at the University of New Mexico, before returning to Austin and opening Midtown Urology Associates in 2005.

Why Urology?
The biggest reason I chose urology is that you go to medical school and do all of these rotations. The ones I kept enjoying the most and had the most fun seemed to be the urologists. There are very few specialties that allow you to follow patients throughout their entire life; kidney stones, for instance, is a life-long disease. So you establish relationships with these patients. You get a unique combination of patient relationships and continue to do surgical-related procedures. It makes it unique compared to a lot of other medical fields. I treat patients the same way I want to be treated. It goes a long way with the empathy you portray. Empathy is difficult for people to know how to express when you haven't gone through it yourself. That is a huge part of how we manage our practice.

Kjell Youngren, MD, brings nearly 20 years of urology experience to Advanced Urology in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. In addition to general urology, he is skilled in treating chronic pelvic pain, overactive bladder, kidney stones, incontinence, and urologic cancers. He frequently performs painless, in-office, no-scalpel vasectomies.
Dr. Youngren graduated Bowdoin College summa cum laude, with honors in chemistry, and a double major in French. He also trained at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Dr. Youngren interned in general surgery at the University of Southern California and completed his urology residency at UMDNJ-NJ Medical School, where he was the recipient of several awards for teaching and research.
Dr. Youngren is board certified by the American Board of Urology and an active member of the American Urological Association. He loves the challenges of community clinical practice and enjoys solving complex problems. His goal is to give relief, knowledge, and comfort to his patients and their families.
The son of two veterinarians, Dr. Youngren was raised with a love of nature, animals, the outdoors, and a deep sense of compassion and kindness. When not working, he enjoys spending family time with his wife and four children, hiking, reading, cooking and eating spicy food, collecting vintage jazz, soul, reggae and salsa records, building hi-fi equipment with vacuum tubes, and collecting vintage mechanical watches. Brett Jepson, MD, is an experienced, board-certified urologist at CSUA: Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has over two decades of experience and specializes in endourology, kidney stone treatment and management, and laparoscopic and da Vinci® robotic surgery of malignant and benign prostate disease.
Dr. Jepson graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. He went on to complete medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Jepson finished his medical training with an internship and urology residency at Saint Louis University Hospitals in St. Louis, Missouri, where he trained in minimally invasive cancer surgery and endourology.
Dr. Jepson began his career in Omaha, Nebraska, where he trained University of Nebraska urology residents in da Vinci robotic procedures and general urology. He is board-certified by the American Board of Urology and is an active member of the American Urology Association. With his compassionate approach and excellent surgical expertise, Gary Bong, M.D., is a well-respected member of the CSUA: Woodmen team serving the community of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He specializes in laparoscopic surgeries, including laparoscopic cryotherapy for kidney cancer as well as daVinci® robotic surgery for prostatectomy and cystectomy procedures.
Dr. Bong attended medical school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. Following graduation, he completed his general surgery internship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, earning the distinction of being recognized as Intern of the Year. He then stayed at the Medical University of South Carolina to complete his residency training in urology, with an emphasis on minimally invasive oncologic surgery.

Dr. Michaela Krajmerova, DO is a Board Certified urologist practicing primarily at our Union location.
She believes in treating all patients as if they were family. Dr. Krajmerova puts emphasis on having in-depth discussions of any surgical intervention, so that her patients have a thorough understanding of their condition and available treatment options. She has a holistic approach towards treating chronic conditions. Dr. Krajmerova is trained in minimally invasive procedures, including endoscopy and robotic surgery.
She specializes in treating prostate, bladder and kidney cancer. She is also a skilled general urologist, who treats kidney stones (including metabolic workup/prevention), BPH (enlarged prostate), female pelvic conditions (incontinence, prolapse, overactive bladder, etc), men’s sexual health (erectile dysfunction, low testosterone).
Dr. Krajmerova attended college at Arizona State University with a degree in Biochemistry. She graduated medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. She completed her urologic residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

J. Abram McBride, M.D., is an expert, highly trained board-certified urologist at CSUA: Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has nearly a decade of experience and specializes in vasectomy, microsurgery, vasectomy reversal, reproductive medicine, and male infertility, as well as men’s health, sexual dysfunction, and erectile dysfunction.
Other areas of his expertise include male prosthetic and reconstructive surgery, Peyronie’s disease, male cancer survivorship, male hypogonadism, and da Vinci® robotic and endoscopic surgery. Dr. McBride has a passion for improving men’s health, rooted in his own experience with infertility.
He’s a native of Virginia and served in the Virginia Army National Guard. Dr. McBride spent time overseas during Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. Between tours, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
