Dr. Meka received training in venous valve repairs, deep venous reconstructions, perforators ablations during medical school. During her General Surgery training at Memorial Health University in Georgia, she developed core vascular surgery operating skills. She also presented and published several vascular papers during her residency. She then completed advanced training in endovascular techniques during her vascular surgery fellowship. Kelvin S. Crezee DPM, FACFAS, of Ahwatukee Foot & Ankle Center in Phoenix and Maricopa, Arizona, is double board-certified in surgery and medicine. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Starr (Friedman) Eads is a board-certified General Surgeon who joined Arizona Premier Surgery in the summer of 2019. Originally from West Bloomfield, Michigan, she attended the University of Michigan where she majored in English and graduated with a BA and high honors for her undergraduate thesis. She then obtained her MD from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. While Dr. Eads was in medical school, many of her close family members relocated to Arizona, but she remained in the South for another 5 years after graduation for residency training. She completed her residency in General Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. During this time, she met her now-husband, Danny Eads, who was training in Cardiothoracic Surgery. They were both fortunate to find positions with busy practices and great partners close to Dr. Eads’ family, and they are grateful for the opportunity to serve the Scottsdale and East Valley areas.

Dr. Eads’ practice focuses on minimally invasive surgery, with growing expertise in both the robotic Da Vinci and laparoscopic platforms. She is also skilled in traditional open surgical techniques. Her clinical interests include surgery for the gallbladder, upper and lower gastrointestinal disorders, groin hernias, abdominal wall hernias, and skin/soft tissue lesion removal. Providing excellent patient care is her top priority. She is dedicated to continuing to expand her knowledge base and learn new techniques to optimize her patients’ experience. Dr. Eads believes in a team approach to patient care, and that patients and their families are an important part of this team. Dr. Eads’ interests include hiking, live music, co-hosting crawfish boils, eating food cooked by other people, and all things New Orleans. She and the other Dr. Eads are proud parents of their French bulldog, Barkley, and they enjoy bringing him on their adventures.

Dr. Solís is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of both benign and malignant breast disease. She has advanced training in oncoplastic techniques, including hidden scar techniques, as well as nipple sparing mastectomy. She has been well published in the field of breast surgery, with multiple publications in the areas of ductal carcinoma in situ, high risk breast lesions, idiopathic granulomatous mastitis, and risk-reducing mastectomy.  

Dr. Solís received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Inova Health System in Falls Church, Virginia before completing her breast surgical oncology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. In her spare time, she loves to travel, cook, and spend time with her large family, including her husband and sons.

Dr. Vanitha Vasudevan is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 11 years of experience in general surgery and surgical oncology. She brings extensive international training and a patient-centered approach to the care of individuals with complex surgical conditions, combining advanced techniques with compassionate, personalized care.

Dr. Vasudevan completed her medical education at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She went on to pursue advanced surgical training in India, completing a Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery at Maulana Azad Medical College, followed by a highly competitive M.Ch. residency in Pediatric Surgery at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, one of India’s premier academic medical centers. This rigorous training provided her with a strong foundation in complex surgical decision-making and multidisciplinary care.

She continued her surgical training in the United States, completing her general surgery residency at the University of Miami. Her residency included training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida (PGY-1 and PGY-2), followed by advanced residency training at the University of Miami Palm Beach Regional Campus in Atlantis, Florida. 

Dr. Vasudevan is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Her clinical expertise includes minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, with a special focus on surgical oncology. She has particular experience in robotic colorectal surgery for conditions such as diverticular disease, colon cancer, and rectal cancer. In addition, she performs a wide range of minimally invasive procedures for gallbladder disease and abdominal wall disorders, including inguinal, ventral, and hiatal hernias. Her practice also includes endocrine surgery, with procedures involving the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands.

Dr. Albert Amini is the founder and President of Arizona Premier Surgery as well as a board-certified General Surgeon with fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery for the liver, pancreas, and bile ducts. After earning his medical degree from Northwestern and completing his surgical internship and residency, Dr. Amini spent an additional year learning about hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, along with how to use modern technology to perform effective, minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Amini is board certified by the American College of Surgeons and he is also a member of the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA). In addition to a full schedule of patients at Arizona Premier Surgery, Dr. Amini travels abroad to perform surgeries on underserved patients in the Dominican Republic, which has improved his fluency in Spanish.

Dr. Amini has a special interest in pancreas surgery, gastrointestinal (GI) oncology and complex hernia repairs. At Arizona Premier Surgery, some of the surgeries he performs are hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, as well as gastrointestinal oncology, and colorectal surgery. Dr. Amini has expertise in the da Vinci® robotic surgical system and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Using laparoscopic and robotic techniques, Dr. Amini is able to perform minimally invasive surgery that needs less recovery time than traditional open surgery. Philosophy of Care

Dr. Jawad is a Tampa native who earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. He went on to complete his general surgery residency at Albany Medical Center, the busiest Level 1 trauma center and tertiary surgical care hospital in New York. Following residency, he spent nearly a year in New Mexico, caring for patients in a critical access hospital and strengthening his dedication to serving rural and underserved populations.

He is now advancing his training through the Mastery in General Surgery Fellowship under Dr. Amini, with a specialized focus on robotic general surgery, complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic procedures, as well as foregut and colorectal surgery. Dr. Jawad is proficient in both laparoscopic and open techniques, and will be providing comprehensive surgical care, including elective, emergency, and trauma surgery.

Passionate about combining innovation with compassionate care, Dr. Jawad is especially enthusiastic about integrating newly acquired robotic skills into his practice. He looks forward to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care as part of the Arizona Premier Surgery Team. 

Dr. DiPasquale is a specialized breast surgeon with expertise in treating both malignant and benign breast diseases. Her passion lies in advanced oncoplastic reconstructive surgery, where she combines oncological principles with plastic surgery techniques. She strives to ensure excellent oncological outcomes while also prioritizing cosmetic results and patient satisfaction.

Originally from the east coast of Canada, Dr. DiPasquale completed her medical training at Dalhousie University. Following this, she pursued her General Surgery Residency at the University of Alberta. During her residency, she also earned a Master of Science degree at the prestigious Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where her research was recognized with an award from the Canadian Federation of University Women.

To further refine her skills and broaden her expertise, Dr. DiPasquale completed a breast oncoplastic and reconstruction surgery fellowship at the renowned Paris Breast Center. She is proud to hold board certifications from both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. DiPasquale's contributions extend beyond her clinical practice. She has co-authored numerous research papers and actively presents her work at international conferences. Additionally, she serves as a peer reviewer for international journals.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. DiPasquale cherishes quality time spent with her loved ones, including her family, friends, and her beloved Yorkie. After escaping the cold Canadian winters, she also enjoys spending time outdoors in the warm Arizona sun.

Dr. Gunia is one of the few sub-specialty fellowship-trained Breast Surgical Oncologists in Scottsdale and is committed to the evaluation and treatment of breast disease. She is dedicated to bringing the highest level of breast care to the valley by incorporating her expertise in the newest technologies and advancements available for both the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
