Gary Nackman, MD, FACS, is a board-certified vascular surgeon with more than 25 years of experience helping women and men with venous disease and cosmetic concerns achieve healthy veins and skin. He founded the NJ Vein Care and Aesthetics Center in Clifton, New Jersey, to provide high-quality, one-on-one, patient-centered care in a welcoming, supportive environment. He's proud to be listed in the Consumers Research Council of America's "Guide to America's Top Surgeons."
Dr. Nackman graduated summa cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and earned his Medical Doctorate from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, in 1988. He completed his general surgery training at Columbia University, St. Luke' s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City in 1994. He then went on to participate in a fellowship in vascular surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, in 1996.
Formerly an associate professor of surgery at the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Nackman trained and led the next generation of vascular surgeons and physicians. Currently, he's an attending surgeon at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
Dr. Nackman has received national recognition for his NIH-funded, breakthrough scientific research. He's made numerous presentations at national and international conferences, authored textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles, and co-authored a landmark scientific paper on how varicose veins degenerate.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery in Vascular Surgery, Dr. Nackman is a member of several national and local societies, including the Society for Vascular Surgery, Association for Academic Surgery, Society of University Surgeons, and the Vascular Society of New Jersey. He was chair of clinical programs at the NJ Center for Biomaterials and has served as a consultant to industry.

David T. Jacobs, MD, DABR, DABVLM, has devoted his medical career to treating venous disease. Based in Rockville Centre, New York, this fellowship-trained, board-certified vein and vascular specialist personally handles all cases at his practice South Shore Vein and Aesthetic Medicine – the only dedicated vein practice on the south shore of Nassau County.
Dr. David T. Jacobs holds dual board certifications in radiology and phlebology (vein medicine), a certification held by fewer than 900 physicians in the United States.
A born-and-raised New Yorker, Dr. David T. Jacobs attended medical school at the New York University School of Medicine.
Before opening his own practice, Dr. Jacobs completed a residency and fellowship in diagnostic and interventional radiology at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn. He acted as Chief Resident in Interventional Radiology, and completed an additional fellowship specifically focused on vascular malformations at the Medical College of Wisconsin, training with world experts in the field.
Dr. David T. Jacobs has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and is the author of a chapter on vascular malformations in a newly published textbook – Interventional Radiology: Fundamentals of Clinical Practice. He is a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society (formerly the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine), the American College of Radiology, the American Board of Radiology, the American Medical Association, and Radiological Society of North America.
