Growing up a proud military kid, my father was in the Airforce. I was born in Plattsburgh, NY and have lived in NY, TX, VA, CO, and in Greece. Through our military lifestyle I encountered people from all over the globe. It was there that I developed my love for people of all cultures and backgrounds. I believe is seeing every patient as an individual and in really connecting with them. I Graduated from The Ohio State University in 1998 with a BS in Molecular Genetics. In 2002 I graduated with a DDS from The Ohio State University. I have been practicing for 16 years. I am married to my beautiful wife Kari and we have 5 very active children. I enjoy anything soccer, running, reading, researching, learning, and watching my kids grow up. Erick Chamblee, DDS of Summit Dental Group in Akron, Ohio, approaches the profession of dentistry much like he approaches life: He sets goals and then exceeds them. Dr. Chamblee moved to Indiana from Texas as a child and has been contributing to his community, his profession, and the lives of his patients ever since.

He started his professional training at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and graduated magna cum laude. Dr. Chamblee then graduated in the top 10 of his class at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Denver, where he served as vice president of the dental student council during his senior year.

He continued his dental training as a resident in Advanced General Dentistry at Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital, South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) in San Antonio. During his residency, Dr. Chamblee studied dental implant placement, full mouth rehabilitation, gum surgery, and IV sedation techniques.

The residency program also inspired his philosophy of patient-centered care that drives him today. Dr. Chamblee prides himself on providing his patients with gentle, comfortable dental care using up-to-date techniques and state-of-the-art technology.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Chamblee enjoys an active family life with his wife, Ellie, and their four children. He is a parishioner at St. Paul’s Church in North Canton, Ohio, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. You can also find Dr. Chamblee volunteering at Aultman Hospital and Refuge of Hope.

In his spare time, Dr. Chamblee enjoys hiking with his family as well as woodworking, golfing, gardening, reading, playing guitar, and running. He once completed a half-marathon in six hours.
