Dr. Maur grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where she attended Furman University, obtaining her undergraduate degree in economics. During her time there, Dr. Maur was introduced to the field of dentistry while volunteering at a free dental clinic. She then chose to shadow local dentists in order to discover more about the basics of dentistry and the importance of the patient-doctor relationship.
Her interest in dentistry led Dr. Maur to enroll at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine. After completing her studies, Dr. Maur attended the University of Florida in St. Petersburg for further training and earned certification for Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Mahshid Majlessi Koopaeei, DMD, MSc, is a highly skilled oral health physician who takes a calming approach to patient care. Dr. Majlessi attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she received her Master of Science and a certificate of specialty in endodontics. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where she was part of the clinical honors program and recipient of the Pre-Doctoral Endodontic Program Outstanding Clinical Award. Dr. Safi is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society.

As a dental professional, she stays up to date on the latest technology in Dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for her patients.
