It was there that she saw the need for oral education and treatment. She also took on an internship in Temple Dental in summer of 2015 where she served inner city areas in North Philadelphia. There she was exposed to translating and helping patients with understanding their treatments. Before coming to Lasante Dental as a dentist, Dr. Castillo completed two years of residency at Jamaica Hospital- School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Castillo participated in the Stony Brook Outreach- South Dakota where she provided dental care for patients in need on an Indian reservation. She was part of a dental team that saw and treated patients that were mostly edentulous.
