Bella Pinkatz, DDS, is a board-certified dentist with over 20 years of experience. She founded Kew Gardens Dental P.C. in 2008 and has served the Kew Gardens, New York community ever since. 

Dr. Pinkatz earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. After graduating, she entered private practice and discovered her passion for making dental care accessible and enjoyable for all.

Meet Dr. Malkis

Avi Malkis at Larchmont Family Dental brightens smiles in Larchmont and Westchester County, providing comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages. He specializes in cosmetic restorations, implants, crowns, and bridges. Invisalign®-certified and trained in multiple implant systems including Zimmer, Straumann, and Nobel Biocare, Dr. Malkis is a highly skilled expert in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

After completing undergraduate coursework at Brooklyn College, Dr. Malkis attended the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) to obtain his doctor of dental surgery.

While at NYU, he was given an award for Most Outstanding Senior Dental Student by the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, completed academic research on the subject of bleeding complications under Dr. Michael Turner, and earned academic honors in both head and neck anatomy and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Malkis received “Most Outstanding Student with a focus on Oral Surgery" honors and graduated in the top 10% of his class in 2010. While at NYUCD, Dr. Malkis did humanitarian work by providing underserved people in Nicaragua with dental care.

In addition to his work as a dentist, Dr. Malkis has broad experience in teaching and research. He spent a year as a tutor for first-year dental students in the Head and Neck Anatomy course at NYUCD, and also as a teaching assistant for first-year dental students in the General Dentistry Simulation I Clinic. In his free time, Dr. Malkis stays fit by running, weight lifting, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.

Dr. Hwang earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University in New York City, New York. Dr. Hwang did his fellowship with and was implant certified by the International Dental Implant Association. He’s also a member of the International Dental Implant Association, as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Andrew Sarowitz is the Clinical Coordinator and Director of Implant and Advanced Laser Dentistry at the Bronx Dental Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as well as an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute. He also serves as part of the medical staff of the Brooklyn Nets as their Official Dentist. Meet Dr. Zeines

Victor Zeines, DDS, MS, FAGD, FIND, Dr. Zeines has been practicing holistic dentistry for the past 25 years. He sees patients at his two New York City-area practice locations on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and in Shokan, New York.

He received his degree from New York University College of Dentistry and completed an internship at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. Dr. Zeines always believed that dentistry needed to do more than just “fix teeth.”

In 1980, he received a Master of Science in nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. He received fellowship status from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1982. An early article by Dr. Zeines called “Nutritional Eases Dental Problems,” published in 1980, talks about the link regarding oral and systemic health.

Today, there’s an increased understanding of the impact of oral health on the rest of the body and an increasing body of support for the multiple connections between oral health and total wellness. “We have always known that protecting the health of gums will help patients to keep not just their teeth, but their life,” says Dr. Zeines.

Kenn Kakosian, DDS, PhD, is an experienced dentist serving New York City patients at DentAlign NYC in Midtown East, Manhattan. Dr. Kakosian has been in the dental field for over forty years and has a number of degrees.

Dr. Kakosian initially graduated from dental school in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1983 and began performing oral surgeries. From 1990-1991, he participated in scientific research for Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder in Moscow, Russia, and Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Kenn received his PhD in 1992 and began studying orthodontics.

Marc Gainor, DMD, is an experienced dentist with over 33 years of experience in private practice. He leads the team at Rockefeller Dentistry in the Midtown East neighborhood of New York, New York.

In 1977, Dr. Gainor graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University Of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1981. He then completed a postgraduate general practice residency in dentistry at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, in 1982.

Dr. Gainor is strongly committed to continuing education. He has completed the prestigious Pankey Institute restorative and Spear Institute mastery continuum. He also took advanced coursework at the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida, and the Strupp Postgraduate School of Dentistry. 

In 1987 Dr. Gainor became a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. This recognition represents over 500 hours of post-doctoral education and successful completion of a written exam given by the Academy. 

In 2006, he was awarded the title of Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, the highest distinction conferred by the Academy. Less than 2% of all dentists nationwide have achieved this honor. Dr. Gainor has completed over 2400 hours of continuing education since completing his residency.

Dr. Gainor is very involved in organized dentistry and loves teaching. He has presented numerous educational programs on occlusion (bite), TMJ dysfunction, and orthodontics to his colleagues at local dental societies. 

He is currently the general chairman of the Greater New York Dental Meeting, the largest Dental Convention/Exposition in the United States. Dr. Gainor was recently honored with the Academy of General Dentistry Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition award.
