Dr. Alexander Kimon earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, after graduating from New York University for his undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Chemistry. His extensive research in basic science as a collegiate garnered him Harvard Medical School’s Paul Dudley White Fellowship to continue his research as a pre-doctoral dental student. While at Harvard, he won awards from the Northeastern Society of Periodontology and the Academy of Operative Dentistry honoring his clinical skills as a dentist, as well as the Harvard Odontological Society Award for Excellence in Research recognizing his efforts in promoting smoking cessation therapy internationally as an adjuvant to oral cancer prevention. Dr. Kimon continues to further his dental education and aptitude, emphasizing proficiency in implant dentistry, smile makeovers, Invisalign orthodontics, and CAD/CAM technology. Dr. Alvina Lim is a fourth generation dentist. Born in California and raised in Indonesia, she was exposed to a variety of cultures at an early age. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Southern Adventist University in Tennessee and her dental degree from Loma Linda University in California.
After graduating from a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, she worked in New York for two years as a general practitioner. This is where her passion for pediatric dental care developed. She pursued additional specialized training in pediatric dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital where she served as Chief Resident. She continues to be held in high regard by distinguished professors and peers for her superb work ethic and her attention to detail.
When not at work, Dr. Lim enjoys spending time with husband and their baby girl. She has been actively involved in both local and international dental outreach programs including Thailand, Guyana and Guatemala.
Dr. Lim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
