Dr. Judy Schmutter, DDS, is a cosmetic and general dentist devoted to creating the best smiles for her patients. Her office is in Oradell, New Jersey, but she also provides dental services to patients in the areas of Northvale, Emerson, Paramus, Bergenfield, New Milford, Haworth, Closter, Tenafly, and Dumont. Alicia Schraner, DDS, was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, then moved to New York City to attend college. New York is where you’ll still find her today, practicing general and cosmetic dentistry at Yonkers Dental Arts in Yonkers, just north of New York City in Westchester County.

Dr. Schraner attended New York University for her undergraduate studies in biology, then remained at NYU for dental school. While in dental school, she worked at NYU’s Dental Faculty Practice, a progressive dental center that offers comprehensive dental services from a large team of dentists, endodontists, oral surgeons, and other dental professionals from NYU’s College of Dentistry. She was also involved with NYU’s dental outreach programs and awarded honors in aesthetic dentistry.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Schraner completed her general dentistry residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she treated children, adults, and special-needs patients.

To keep up with the latest dental technology and advancements, Dr. Schraner regularly attends continuing education courses. She’s also an active member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Meet Dr. Malkis

Avi Malkis at Larchmont Family Dental brightens smiles in Larchmont and Westchester County, providing comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages. After completing undergraduate coursework at Brooklyn College, Dr. Malkis attended the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) to obtain his doctor of dental surgery.

While at NYU, he was given an award for Most Outstanding Senior Dental Student by the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, completed academic research on the subject of bleeding complications under Dr. Michael Turner, and earned academic honors in both head and neck anatomy and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Malkis received “Most Outstanding Student with a focus on Oral Surgery" honors and graduated in the top 10% of his class in 2010. While at NYUCD, Dr. Malkis did humanitarian work by providing underserved people in Nicaragua with dental care.

In addition to his work as a dentist, Dr. Malkis has broad experience in teaching and research. He spent a year as a tutor for first-year dental students in the Head and Neck Anatomy course at NYUCD, and also as a teaching assistant for first-year dental students in the General Dentistry Simulation I Clinic. In his free time, Dr. Malkis stays fit by running, weight lifting, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.

Lynn M.
