Dr. Rich brings more than 14 years of experience as an endurance athlete and competitive cyclist to the practice. This interest and passion carry over to his efforts in interventional pain and orthopedics.
Upon earning his medical degree, Dr. Rich completed a family practice residency with a focus on sports medicine. During his time as a resident, Dr. Rich treated various levels of athletes, including hockey players and other athletes at two Division I colleges in Louisiana.

I am the founder, owner and doctor at Santa Fe Mobile MD since we started it in 2019. I began this practice out of a desire to spend more time with patients. This allows us to have a better understanding of the problem rather than just ordering tests. The relationships that develop are the foundation upon which great care can be provided.
Since completing my residency training in Emergency Medicine in Boston in 2007, I have worked in Chiapas, the Navajo Reservation in Northwest New Mexico, Santa Fe and New Zealand. Practicing medicine in different cultures and countries has taught me a lot about listening, about being humble and seeing these experiences in the context of life. Being trusted with peoples’ stories, concerns, and hopes has been a great honor because it teaches me so much about the human experience.
Outside of medicine you’ll find me alongside my family biking, running, skiing or doing whatever we can to enjoy and be a part of the natural world.

My residency was in Family Medicine at USC in Columbia ,South Carolina. I began private practice in Durham ,N.C. in 1984. I have practiced Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care since 1990.
