John Ludlow, MD, is a California-based physician with over fifteen years of clinical experience and the founder of Ludlow Longevity in Modesto, California. Ludlow Longevity is a physician-led medical practice focused on weight loss, metabolic health, hormonal care, and healthy aging.
Dr. Ludlow earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine and completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at Stanford. With more than a decade in practice, Dr. Ludlow cared for patients across the full spectrum of illness—from acute medical emergencies to end-of-life care—shaping his focus on the upstream drivers of chronic disease, including metabolic health, body composition, and lifestyle factors.
At Ludlow Longevity, Dr. Ludlow works with adults seeking sustainable weight loss, improved energy, and long-term health. Care is individualized and may include GLP-1–based therapies when appropriate, paired with nutrition guidance, resistance training, lifestyle strategies, and evidence-informed supplements; in select cases, emerging therapies may also be considered as part of a comprehensive medical plan.
Dr. Ludlow also provides men’s health services, including hormonal evaluation and testosterone replacement therapy when indicated. His philosophy emphasizes personalized, physician-led care focused on long-term outcomes, performance, and quality of life—rather than one-size-fits-all programs or app-based medicine.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Ludlow also produces a children’s health education series, The Doctor John Show, which teaches kids how the body works and how to stay healthy. Watch the videos at https://www.youtube.com/@DoctorJohnShow
