Dr. Colvin earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He then moved to North Carolina to complete an internal medicine residency at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte before returning to the University of Tennessee for a gastroenterology fellowship. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Colvin returned to North Carolina to join the Carolina Digestive Health Associates in 1997.
Dr. Colvin enjoys all sports, especially golf, when he's not at work. He is married and has three daughters. He and his family attend the Central Church in Charlotte, and Dr. Colvin sings in the church choir.
