Dr. Fred Fowler, MD

Fred Fowler, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing at Carolina Digestive Health Associates, PA, with 15 locations in the greater Charlotte area, including: Belmont, Concord, Davidson, Denver, Matthews, Monroe, Huntersville, University, and Pineville, North Carolina. He sees adult patients at three of the practice’s locations, including Concord/Cabarrus, University office, and Carolina Endoscopy Center. He specializes in gastroenterology, hepatology, and research studies.

Dr. Fowler earned his medical degree at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He then moved to Gainesville, Florida, to complete an internal medicine residency. He served as Chief Resident at the University of Florida Shands Hospital and a gastroenterology and liver disease fellowship. Dr. Fowler also completed graduate school at Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, earning a Master's in Business Administration.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Fowler enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is active and likes running, completing home improvement projects, gardening, and learning about history.
