Tammy studied for her Bachelor of Science in nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), graduating in 2006. She completed her Master of Nursing Education at the University of Phoenix in 2008, followed by a Master of Healthcare Administration. In 2010, she returned to UTHealth to undertake her post-Master of Science in nursing with a family nurse practitioner focus.

Tammy gained considerable experience in her role as a nurse at the pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit at the Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas. Jennifer E. Duchaney, CPNP-PC, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who provides outstanding services to patients of THINK Neurology for Kids through THINK Virtual Health and in person at our Sugar Land location.

Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University at College Station in 2005 with a major in English. Following her passion for healthcare, she pursued an undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center where she graduated in 2008.

Her commitment to pediatric care led her back to the same university for nurse practitioner school, where she graduated in 2011 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.

Jennifer has received advanced training in pediatric neurology, including concussion, headache, epilepsy, autism, and developmental disorders.

Prior to joining THINK Neurology, she gained valuable experience in critical care at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, where she met Dr. Varghese and Dr. Marchesano.

Her clinical background also includes roles in the pediatric primary care and pediatric urgent care settings.

Dr. Swaraj Bose is a leading neuro-ophthalmologist, orbital surgeon and strabismus specialist serving patients in Beverly Hills and Culver City area, providing the best care for a broad array of conditions, including complex and specialty issues such as optic neuropathies, lacrimal disorders, eyelid disorders, cranial nerve palsies and ocular diseases. Dr. Walls majored in biology and psychology with a chemistry minor for her undergraduate studies at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, earning a Bachelor of Science. After graduating in 2006, she enrolled at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston to complete her medical degree. 

Dr. Walls undertook her residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital from 2010-2013. She served as chief resident of the pediatric residency program for a further year and was awarded the Marnie Rose Award for being the most compassionate and dedicated resident. 

Dr. Walls worked as a primary care pediatrician with Town Center Pediatrics for eight years before joining THINK Neurology for Kids. She holds certification from the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Walls loves spending time with her husband and two sons, both very active baseball players. If she’s not in the office, she can most likely be found at the ballpark. Lorena Herbert, M.D. is a thoughtful and caring board-certified pediatric neurologist who takes care of young patients through THINK Virtual Health. Dr. Herbert was born and raised in Brazil and moved to Texas with her parents and younger brother when she was a teenager. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at UT Austin and majored in human biology. After graduating, she enrolled at the McGovern Medical School in Houston to complete her medical degree. Following graduation, Dr. Herbert completed a two-year residency in pediatrics and a combined three years of residency in adult and child neurology at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, and gained research experience in functional neurological disorders.

When not taking care of her patients, Dr. Herbert loves spending her time with her loving husband and her two boys.

Board-certified neurologist Shaun S. Varghese, M.D., specializes in child neurology, providing exceptional services for children, teens, and young adults at THINK Neurology for Kids, which he founded in 2014. The practice has branches in The Woodlands, Katy, Sugar Land, and Austin, Texas.

A native of Dallas, Dr. Varghese grew up with an interest in science and sports. He studied at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration in 2004 while completing his pre-med courses. He was awarded the Bryant Boutwell, Dr. P.H., and John P. McGovern, M.D., Scholarship in 2004, and received nominations for the 2006 Research Forum and C. Frank Webber Prize, and the 2008 Neuroscience Research Center Distinguished Medical Student Award. Dr. Varghese obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 2009.

Following graduation, Dr. Varghese completed a two-year residency in pediatrics and a combined three years of residency in adult and child neurology at the University of Texas Medical School, which is the largest medical center in the world. He served as chief resident in the Department of Child Neurology from 2013-2014, before starting his private practice, THINK Neurology for Kids.

Paul Gill, M.D., grew up in Cypress, Texas and graduated from Jersey Village High School. Dr. Gill completed his residency in Neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he was chief resident in his last year. After graduating, he went on to serve as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and established the university’s first satellite clinic in Edmond, OK which was an innovative and groundbreaking approach to the university’s ability to offer care to a broader segment of the population.  

In 2009, Dr. Gill returned to his hometown of Cypress, Texas, and established Gill Neuroscience. Dr. Marchesano undertook her residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital from 2009-2012 and served as chief resident of the pediatric residency program for a further year. She then joined THINK Neurology for Kids. Dr. Marchesano holds certification from the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Oommen was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University in 2011. He went on to receive his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2016.

Following graduation, Dr. Oommen completed a two-year residency in pediatrics and a combined three-year residency in adult and child neurology at the University of Texas at Houston in 2021. Upon completion, he pursued two years of fellowship training in epilepsy and surgical epilepsy planning.

Outside of work, Dr. Oommen enjoys spending time with his wife and newborn son, staying active by competing in various sports, and supporting his hometown teams.

Joel Vandersluis, MD, offers adult neurology care to patients in Dayton, Ohio, at Neurology Diagnostics, Inc. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Vandersluis also completed board certification for the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Vandersluis earned his medical degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He rounded out his medical education with residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Afterward, he completed fellowships in electromyography and headache management at the department of neurology at Case Western Reserve University.

He has served as an associate professor at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, and a preceptor at the Ohio University Heritage School of Medicine in Athens. Kathleen Eberle, MD, is a neurologist at Houston Neurological Institute in Pasadena and Pearland, Texas. 

Dr. Eberle attended The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in physical therapy.
