Dr. DrForest really took the time to listen, observe, share feedback, asked lots of great questions about my child, tried to get to know my child, and even came back into the room when I had follow up questions. Jennifer E. Martin, CPNP-PC, is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who provides outstanding services to patients of THINK Neurology for Kids at our Gulf Coast location in Lake Jackson.
Jennifer obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University at College Station in 2005 with a major in English. Following her passion for healthcare, she pursued an undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center where she graduated in 2008.
Her commitment to pediatric care led her back to the same university for nurse practitioner school, where she graduated in 2011 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Jennifer has received advanced training in pediatric neurology, including concussion, headache, epilepsy, autism, and developmental disorders.
Prior to joining THINK Neurology, she gained valuable experience in critical care at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands, where she met Dr. Varghese and Dr. Marchesano.
Her clinical background also includes roles in the pediatric primary care and pediatric urgent care settings.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Jennifer spending time with her husband and their children, reading good books, baking chocolate chip cookies, and running with her weimaraner puppy, Pepper.

Dr DeForest was amazing! She was so patient with our child and helped explain the differences in types of ADHD. Our child also only speaks Spanish and she attempted to communicate with them even if she only knew a little bit. The attempt alone made my heart smile

Ms. Martin takes wonderful care of my son. She is very knowledgeable. She takes the time to understand his unique needs. She ensures understanding for myself as a parent. She got to know my son quickly and looks to work together to support my child. We will continue to see her due to her high level of care and patient/caregiver rapport.
